We invite you to our newest shop classes and special events!
We're going to try to keep all of the special events -- like special sales and the shows and festivals we attend, here, too... calendar of events on top, classes listed together at the bottom.
We offer individual instruction in a small-group setting. Our goal is to help you learn a particular technique in class, so when you are back home, on your own, you'll be able to apply your classroom experiences, and create something beautiful!
All of our classes include any necessary materials for your project. You are encouraged to bring scissors, and any favorite stitching "stuff" you'd like. We offer a beautiful stitching area, complete with lighted magnifiers... and top quality scissors. Please enjoy 'trying out' our things during class... you might find something you can't live without!!!
Each of our teachers has been associated with The Silver Needle for over 10 years... and I am proud to have them represent us! They bring a wealth of knowledge and information to you... and I know you'll learn a lot from them! Enjoy your class!

Join The Silver Needle for our Cruise to the Mediterranean, June 2010!!!
Calling All Stitchers and Your Favorite Friends! 
Silver Needle is sponsoring a 7-day cruise to Europe aboard Royal Caribbean's *Voyager of the Seas* Luxury Liner!!! (We've affectionately re-named her the *S.S. Alfredo!!!) We sail from Barcelona, Spain next June 6th to Italy's Naples, Rome, and Florence & Pisa, continuing on to Nice and Marseilles, France... enjoying the charm of old Europe all week long! What could be better than a day at sea with fellow stitchers?
A week of once-in-a-lifetime daily jaunts through the Tuscan countryside, the architecture and history of Rome, a few wineries and a little shopping, a day on the French Riviera, and the tiny cobbled streets of Provence!

NOTICE! THIS CLASS IS OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT! This is your 'official notification' of next year's awesome 2-day event at the shop! We just finished hosting Lizzie Kate and JBW Designs -- and you all asked for something again -- so here it is! Absolutely NO specific details till after Market -- February of 2010. (Really! -- The Designers have to get though the Fall Market, Holidays and Winter Market next Feb first!) This is your *SAVE THE DATE!*
We love having a private Meet & Greet Dinner Reception Friday night -- after shop hours, and I think this next year, we're going to have a Stitching Lounge all day on Friday! Class on Saturday, fantastic shopping all weekend, and super-yummy food! And of course Barb and Alma, some exclusive projects and TONS OF FUN! We can put you on our 'Contact Me Next February List!'

Well, this place is so nice, it made me dream of leaving home for an evening or two to treat myself!!! Each room is a suite, features a huge sectional with lamps all over the place, and every kind of port to plug in every single kind of wireless/electronic thing you own! Free hot breakfast... everything new, clean and close to the shop!

Introducing A Gingerbread Mouse House!
Presenting... our Weekend With Teresa Layman!!!
October 1st and 2nd, 2010
***Join us for Gingerbread and Lace!!!!!***
Join us to stitch and construct THIS little Gingerbread House!!! Teresa has sent us her class model to entice and inspire! YOU WILL go home with this darling cottage, after Teresa's lace presentation Friday evening and knotwork classes on Saturday morning. This Etui house features a pin-cushion roof (Teresa has handmade all of those for us already!) that lifts off to reveal the tiny 1-inch mouse living inside... he's included, and truly a hand-made miniature masterpiece! His arms and legs move, and his pajamas are precious!
 Teresa's original watercolor artwork of gingerbread men is highlighted against her custom-printed fabrics that cover this tiny turret. Elegant die-cut doors and windows, trimmed with antique lace... we'll be stitching the topiary trees and garland above the door, and putting the little house together.
***You will learn everything you ever wanted to know (Or Knot!) about French, Colonial and Bullion Knots. Instead of spending 4 hours in a class doing them repeatedly... you'll learn to conquer them QUICKLY, and Get On With Things! Stitch them on your custom printed gingerbread fabric, and then BUILD your mousie's dream house!!! (Complete with antique lace curtains!!!)
Our Gingerbread Mouse House measures 8 inches high and 3-1/2 inches in diameter. It is lined with berry red flannels, features a velvet base, and is large enough to hold several special pairs of scissors, your Santa Wish List, your Christmas gift $$ stash... or just that darling
little mouse!

 Russian Punch Needle Embroidery
Instructor: Mona Bost
Learn this FUN, FUN and totally addictive technique to make the most endearing miniature rug-looking designs! In class, we'll supply all your materials, all you have to bring are a pair of scissors and we offer the needles for purchase to you if you want to make future projects.
Your class design will be large enough to 'hook you', but small enough to finish in class! We'll be stitching a darling design and using overdyed flosses. $20.00
