Welcome to our Shop Exclusives Page! We have so many great things in the shop that are special only to us. I've chosen a few to highlight here. Sometimes we design something; sometimes a design arrives in the shop that BEGS to be restitched in specialty threads. Either way, we bundle everything together -- our thread changes, color copies of the finished product, fabric necessary for the piece and all the specialty threads you'll use to stitch it. Sometimes, particular threads aren't available -- back orders or whatever -- so we choose from others that we like, too. Consequently, kit prices can vary a few dollars...sort of like the "Catch of the Day" price in a seafood restaurant! ENJOY! | ||||
Silver Needle's 3-Inch Ruler Magnet  Just something fun we'll have for a while, till they're gone... this is a bar magnet that has been painted with our shop name, and a little stitching cabin nestled in the woods! We had them done in honor of our Camp Wannasew Stitching Weekends this fall! The magnet is painted with 1-inch increments, so it really is a 3-inch measure. Your stitching board would love one of these! | ||||
 Christmas Mitten Ornaments from Sugar Creek Designs Periwinkle Promises' Barbara has designed a cute set of 6 -- 3-1/2-ish inch ornaments... all finished into little mittens! Offered in small card format with JABCO buttons included, we have 3 Nativity designs, and 3 holly and poinsettia designs. Each mitten is stitched with DMC, (but bits of overdyeds from your stash would be fun, too) on 28ct, and features a cuff stitched with Mosaic Stitch. The rest is easy Cross Stitch. Just darling, Barbara has given Silver Needle her *exclusive* till she releases them in a couple of months! I love the Nativity trio, the stitching will take you almost NO time at all, and the buttons garnish with an instant flourish of charm! SO CUTE! Presenting Merry Fifteen! from Just Nan Just Nan has designed us an over-the-top charming 15-sided Biscornu Christmas Pin Cushion! In the same style as her Floral Fifteen Biscornu, this piece is stuffed FULL of tiny details, festive deep red and green color, extra-special embellishments, and shows off a delightful new set of Nan's Crystal & Charm Pins! 13 Different tiny designs (25 x 25 stitch count) grace the 15 small panels of the cushion. Can you see Rudolph, Santa, an angel, gingerbread couple, candy canes, trees, snowflakes, Christmas Bird and little snowman??? Each side of Merry Fifteen is different -- so it's kind of fun to hold in your hand, twirling and twirling -- always something to catch your fancy! If you're not 'into' a Biscornu -- finish each design individually -- you'll have a darling set of tiny tree ornaments instead! Stitched on 28ct Natural/Opalescent and Ruby Wine Cashel Linens in DMC flosses, along with Weeks hand-dyed flosses and #8 Perle, there is a bit of gold metallic scattered here and there, too.  Introducing... Very Berry! from Erica Michaels Linda Stolz of Erica Michaels has designed an EXQUISITE wool strawberry... stitched on 30ct silk gauze!!! Designed to be a scissor fob or tiny pin cushion this little 2-1/2 x 1-3/4 confection is *way too pretty* to eat... and I'd never stick pins in mine!!! Here are all the details! Stitched in Continental Stitch (just the first half of a Cross Stitch), your berry calls for 5 different shades of Gentle Art's hand-dyed Simply Wool -- you'll be stitching with one ply of thread. The stitched berries that wrap around the piece are little checkerboards of Mulberry and Buckeye Scarlet, the blossoms have hints of golden Brandy in them, and the leaves are a deep Blue Spruce, all against a Roasted Marshmallow background! A miniature strawberry patch on your Very Berry! Next, the berry top features matching Weeks Dye Works hand-dyed wool leaves!!!  
Charted for regular stitching, you could do this on linen... but our exclusive kit contains 30ct silk gauze instead! (Bigger holes than linen -- NO KIDDING!) When you are finished with the stitching, the long side is joined into a cone-shape, and the top is drawn/gathered together, with tiny wool leaves attached to the top! Just darling!!!Offered as the complete kit, we have included the chart, gauze, 8 complete skeins of Gentle Art's Simply Wool, Weeks Dye Works wool, and your needle. Complete assembly instructions are included, along with stitching tips for the gauze! Pumpkin Patch, a Silver Needle exclusive from Knotted Tree A plump trio of pumpkins awaits your needle! Designed exclusively for The Silver Needle by Knotted Tree... we've taken our little chart and stitched it two different ways, in case you can't make up your mind which count of fabric you like best!!! Jamie came to visit the shop this past fall, and presented us with this darling design! We've chosen 10ct Betsy Ross Linen and Weeks Dye Works #5 hand-dyed perle cottons for one version, and Weeks 35ct Straw Linen and their flosses for the other version. The bigger one measures approx 3-1/2 x 6, while the smaller one measures a mere 3-1/2 x 2-1/4! (Add 1/2 an inch to each side for total finished wedge size.) Mona has made hollow wedge stand-up finishing kits for each... so yours will look just like these!!! Easy stitching, yummy colors, a season that is 9 months away (so you have plenty of time to stitch 'em!) Offered in complete kits, we've included the linen, threads (some whole, some partial skeins), chart and embellishments. If you order the finishing kit... it'll have the backing fabrics, necessary pre-cut boards, hand-twisted cording for the edges, Mona's pre-tied wire-ribbon bow and assembly instructions.  Christmas Sampler from Lizzie*KateThis is Lizzie Kate's special design, created for Casa Cenina, for their special 'A Day With Lizzie Kate' Event held October 6th, 2007 in Milan, Italy! A very special event -- Alan of LK says Linda received Red Carpet Rock Star Treatment!!! A delightful piece, Casa Cenina has asked Silver Needle to be their exclusive distributor of the design in the US and Canada! (We feel like we're on the red carpet, as well!) Linda's design is a medley of tiny Christmas motifs that make memories flow. Packages, mittens, hot chocolate, the reindeer and sleigh... everything is tucked into a 4-1/4 x 7 design, and is stitched on 28ct Natural Graziano Milan linen with various Weeks and Gentle Art overdyeds. The design also features three antiqued brass charms -- a gingerbread man, Santa face, and holly leaves. A lovely design for Casa Cenina's customers... a lovely day for Linda and Alan to remember... and a lovely treat for Silver Needle to be a teeny-weeny part of it, too! Note to our non-US and non-Canada stitchers -- Casa Cenina will be taking care of orders from the rest of the world of stitchers! A Sparkling 4th! A very festive Uncle Sam originally designed by Mosey 'n Me... Our Diana Payne reworked him using all sorts of fun special threads! He's stitched on 10ct Natural Betsy Ross Linen, and is full of red, white, blue overdyeds, and lots of gold and silver metallic accents! He has Wooly Whites hair from The Thread Gatherer, it really gives his beard texture! He finishes approx 9 x 9," and you'll have no problem finishing him in plenty of time for the 4th! I just think he's the coolest! The Silver Needle's complete kit includes the original pattern, our changes, and all the necessary threads, embellishments, and the fabric! |

Seasonal Swirls by Heart in Hand Here's a cute set of 4 seasonal designs... tiny things... finishing only 2 1/2" square on 32ct. Stitched entirely in overdyeds, they're very colorful, and each ones features two special stitches. We've embellished them all with a Mill Hill glass Treasure or two, something perfect for the season. These were a special release during some of Cecelia's classes, so are un-published charts! The set of charts is available with the purchase of the glass Treasures: $12.75. The frame we've shown them in, is actually four small ones that we picked up locally and nailed together! They'd be fun all in a long row, as well. Be creative! So cheerful, enjoy them! |
