The Silver Needle
Small, primitive samplers... we have a charming collection! I love the Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia pieces -- but if you don't want those states names on your piece... change them to your family name instead!!!!! All of the following designs are offered as charts.

Love, Me from Hands to Work - click to see more Love, Me
This is a pretty little piece, very contemporary in feel, that is designed as a wedding remembrance. The model is stitched on 40ct in overdyeds, but you can choose any fabric you like without destroying the charm of this! Classic shades of burgundy, gold and sage, the alphabet is included for personalization.

Finishing approx 2-1/2 x 5 on the 40ct, various fabric counts will change the finished size. I like the way the flowers break out of the borders, it just feels young and fresh! Offered as a single chart.

Alphabat from Hands to Work - click to see more Alphabat
Well, this is too darn cute! You get that zealous bat coming right at you with the alphabet... the last thing you'd think of if he was actually 'coming for you!'... the Jack-o-Lantern in the background is totally happy with all of it! It's a cute Halloween piece... and is kind of a fun February release! Offered as a chart, stitched on 36ct, it will finish approx 7 x 7-1/2. The frame, black, beaded and distressed, is available by special order... it comes from Crescent Colours' Family Tree Company.

One Flag from Hands to Work -- click to see moreOne Flag

Primitive and Patriotic... Mabel is the featured bird, and she is helping the flower hold up the flag for us! Stitched in bricks, russets, taupe, leafy greens, and lots of palomino browns, something about this piece is endearing! The model does get noticed, and it features a nice verse. One Flag, One Land, One (heart), One (hand), One Nation Evermore. Offered as a chart, it finishes approx 6-1/2 x 8 on 32ct.

Bird in Hand from Hands to Work -- click to see moreBird in Hand

Wholesome, good everyday advice! Weeks or DMC, finishes approx 10 x 6-1/2 on 32ct.

Harvest Blooms from Hands to Work -- click to see moreHarvest Blooms

I LOVE these boots!!! Each one is literally stuffed full of personality -- for it's particular season! Same stitch count, they finish approx 8 x 8 on 32ct. I bet we're going to get a gardener's boot this year for Spring!

The shop models have created quite the interest in these. I think the boot idea as the vase is real cute, and I love the sloppy, relaxed blooms spilling everywhere!

My Virginia Home from Hands to Work -- click to see moreMy Virginia and My West Virginia Home

This pair of tiny designs has always enchanted me! Once I figured out that I don't HAVE to leave the Virginia part on there... and that my family name would work in that place, I like them even more!

Finishing a petite 4 x 7 on 35ct... the colors are nice, the borders are charming.

My West Virginia Home from Hands to Work -- click to see moreThese two have visual appeal -- everyone goes right to them in the shop!

My Beloved Tennessee from Hands to Work -- click to see moreMy Beloved Tennessee

A tiny tribute to the Volunteer State, sporting agriculture and commerce... this is a sweet little piece that really goes with the Virginia Homes quite well. Stitched on 36ct linen, it will tuck into a standard 5 x 7 frame, too! Regular crosses... stitch this for someone special who loves Tennessee!

Two Fine Houses from Hands to Work -- click to see moreTwo Fine Houses

I love, love this! Very petite -- 6 x 9 on 32ct -- the tree is gorgeous and seems to protect the lovely grounds of the neighboring manors. Stitch it for your next door neighbor (if you really like them!) or for a very best friend that has moved far away -- using the corners to fill in appropriate initials for the both of you! Just simple and charming!

Spring Violets from Hands to Work -- click to see moreSpring Violets

'Surely as cometh the winter, I know there are spring violets under the snow.' (And during the hot summer months... we wonder if there ever WILL be snow!)

Unusual color scheme on this, it finishes approx 6 x 8 on a 32ct. Simple crosses.
