OK... we're not endorsing this as a career choice for anyone... we're simply sharing Homespun Elegance's newest Halloween design! Ms Witchy is bringing her cart of 'ingredients' ... hopefully she's catering a not-so-scary Halloween party!

Stitched on Weeks Dye Works 30ct Straw linen in shades of DMC and overdyeds, she finishes approx 3 x 5. Cart features button-wheels, and that hanging star button could be a bat, spider, blackbird -- so many fun things from your button box stash will work!

The companions to Jeannette's Spring and Autumn Stackers, these are charming additions to the collection! Summer's Stackers are worked with DMC shades of 223, 224, 676, 927 3011 and 3781... accented with Gloriana hand dyed silk. Winter is done with Sampler Threads Old Blue Paint, DMC 642, white and opalescent filament. Just stunning little things, each is stitched on 32ct Lambswool linen, and is two sided. After you put them together, stack them and tie with a pretty ribbon.

Now that we have the entire set, one chunk of linen will work... IF you're frugal (and place these something like an inch apart!) you can get all on a fat quarter. If you're wanting a little more fabric leeway, choose a half yard. Offered as small charts, with button embellishments, Summer includes a bit of Gloriana silk, Winter -- just the buttons. A cute companion to Linda's Spring Fab Fob that we were treated to this past February. A new design, with another fun, exclusive pair of Kelmscott's Little Gems scissors -- notice how the handles are red and blue! Just a fun little design stitched on the provided light blue linen, you get the mother-of-pearl star embellishment, the beads and chart. Flosses come from your stash of threads.

I'm not sure how to describe this book... but it sure is AWESOME!!! I think it's French in flavor, because all the authors and photographer have very French names. Inside... it features cross stitch motifs, and tons of line drawings for embroidery and primitive stitch. Everything in the entire book is stitched in one color -- there is a green section, red, blue, white and pink... 230-ish pages of lovely pictures and clean, fresh, young and some 'Paris-y' designs!!!

Lovely finishing ideas, charming designs... it has over 1000 different motifs inside. Little dogs, lacy borders, florals alphabets, nautical, kitchen, baby, cats and birds... this is one of those books that shows you something different each time you page through it! Enchanting!!!!!!

Also due to arrive this week... six new beaded ornament designs to grace this year's Christmas Tree... these are the small 2 x 3 kits that stitch in a jiffy! We have a lovely lighted wreath in the shop that displays 36 of them all stitched, as an alternative to the tree! (We glued them onto the wreath, and now all we have to do is plug it in, (or not!) and it's lovely!!!)

Kitty in the stocking is cute, the Snowflakes and Snowman go with the frosty window scene and the frosty snowman from the larger Button & Bead Kit designs, and the polar bear looks like he needs a hug! Cute, as always, each complete kit contains the perforated paper, chart, flosses, beads and featured embellishment.

More new scissors from DOVO... these are quite unique in size and decoration! A FULL 7-Inch scissor -- we've never had that size in ANYTHING before... these are a classic shear style with a 3-1/4 inch blade, smaller handles, and an American Stars and Stripes enamel finish! Flex them open to find the Dovo logo and Solingen Germany trademark... you know they're 'real!'

These are definitely a larger scissor. They open and close with a soft 'swoosh', and feel very substantial in your hands. The red on them is on the brighter side of red -- DMC 666, the navy is true. Yet another treat for the scissor collector, and any special sewing cases out there with a stars and stripes theme!!!

3 Clapboard cottages dot the beach... perfect summer get-aways for a week, or 10! Stitched on 28ct Lambswool in DMC, Crescent and Gentle Art overdyeds, the finished size is approx 7-1/2 x 12-1/2.

Simple balance... you might have fun adding some cute embellishments to the beach... we have gulls, crabs, shells, little suns, a little dog to perch by a fence, beach balls, mermaids, fish, all sorts of fun little things! Offered as a chart.

Drawn Thread has sent some new patterns for a stitching project portfolio with matching pin pillow and scissor fob! Stitched on 28ct Stoney Point Cashel Linen in various silks, the main piece is a booklet that finishes approx 9 x 11. (If you're not a 'blue person'... choose another linen color!)

The cover is decorated with an awesome medley of specialty stitches -- and the inside features pockets and rings to hold projects and threads. I LOVE, LOVE all the stitches Cynthia has chosen because most are really different, and we don't always see them used in things. Jessicas over 4 and 6 threads, Pekinese, Alternating Crossed Gobelin, Boucle Stitch, Waffles, and of course lots of Eyelets and Queens, too! Anyway, open the book to find some tiny floral buds scattered inside, and your precious tools stored neatly away. The instructions are wonderful in here... lots of fabric layouts, and great finishing procedures.

The matching Pin Pillow and Fob are teeny companions that you'll want to have, as well. The Portfolio Pattern is offered as the chart, with the 3 bone rings, and a bone medallion (shown on her model), satin ribbon and some baby pink button embellishments, and requires a fat 1/2 yard of linen. The Pin Pillow and Fob is offered as the chart with two elegant Mother-of-Pearl buttons and more satin ribbon to match, and requires a 12 x 16 linen cut.

This is a pretty piece designed to showcase your heirloom buttons! Each tiny medallion measures 29 x 29 stitches, each one a different vine design with different specialty stitches... these are delicate and actually very quick to stitch! Wouldn't they make pretty Biscornu cushions?

Offered as the chart of 6 medallions, they are worked on 28ct Cream Cashel. We have some really pretty Mother-of-Pearl buttons from Italy... so if you need just the right thing... check them out!

What an awesome set of 6 new designs! 5 x 5 designs full of beaded color and detail, Mill Hill's selection this season are delightful! Always offered as complete kits of 14ct perforated paper, loaded with lots of beads and flosses, the Haunted Library is a companion to Haunted Hotel and the Opera House.

Gather Together is a charming country house scene... those Fall Blooms are like NOTHING we've had so far! Paisley Pumpkin is so darn cute... I'm tempted to stitch it without the border, too. Cabin Fever would make a great companion to 'Camping Out' and check out that ring of dancing ghosts!!!

This year's 6 small beaded kit designs are here too! Irate Pirate is quite a switch from designs of the past, and he's just great! The leaves are classy, Trick or Treat is great to add to a Halloween tree of ornaments, Harvest Garden and the Mallard are two more classic designs... and that school picture frame is really a cute and different idea! What a fun way to cherish some old school pictures... stitch these for the Christmas Tree!!!

All are offered as small kits, complete with 14ct perforated paper, and all the beads and flosses. These are a great value, because of all the 'stuff' you get in them!

WOW... this 96-page softcover, full color book features 14 different full-sized Christmas Stocking charts! Candy Nutcracker, Jingle Bears, Santa Collage, Nostalgic Christmas, Snowman Sampler, Celestial Angel, Let it Snow, The Best of Christmas, Winter Scene, I Love Santas, Peace on Earth, Nativity, Cozy Christmas, and Gingerbread Mice...

You can see from the titles that contributing designers Linda Gillum, Barbara Baatz Hillman, Sandy Orton and Nancy Rossi have delivered quite a nice selection of GREAT stocking designs! All are basically the same size, all are coded for DMC, all can be stitched on any fabric you like... and all are super-detailed and CLASSIC!

Olde Colonial Designs has 7 tiny designs in bitty kits... I don't think all of them are new... but I think I missed one of two of them before! Quite a charming collection, we have all of them on our Olde Colonial Pages.
But first, check out these fun little Turtle and Elephant Needlebooks! Bob (OC's Wood-Wiz!) has a new saw attachment TOY... so he's cut Pam a turtle-shaped thread palette for this kit! Bob's turtle measures approx 3-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches in size, and has 9 holes for threads. Pam has made a miniature sewing case for him... you can see him (the TURTLE!) peeking out of the case!

Stitched on 32ct Light Mocha linen in greens, mauve, lavender and butterscotch flosses, the case features a needle page of green wool. A few special stitches in this, the whole thing finishes just a bit smaller than that darling wooden turtle! Complete kit contains the turtle palette, linen, flosses, bird charm, all the necessary instructions, interfacing, wool, ribbon, needle, floral lining fabric... you name it!

Workbasket has a wonderful design... a large, square envelope to hold friendship notes -- inspired from the early 1800's Netherlands custom of creating a lovely box to hold notes and poems. They have combined it with the French custom of Postal Art... stitched envelopes that were actually mailed through the post, using real stamps! (I've seen stitchers do this NOW... they stitch things and then MAIL them LOOSE, to get that ink postmark ON the needlework!!!)

This 12 x 12 envelope keeper is awesome! Stitched on Week's 35ct Parchment Linen, with dusky, softly faded shades of Belle Soie hand-dyed silks, the design is coded for DMC floss as well. When you fold the corners in and finish this, you'll have a lovely 2--sided envelope. The front design includes the 'stamp' (the bunny in the upper right-hand corner.) The Address -- To a Friend's House. Notice the Quaker motifs on the left-hand edge... when we turn over the piece, they are the tops to a heart! On the backside, you'll find the envelope flap, decorated with a valentine and smattering of antique buttons from your stash!

Offered as the chart, this is SO unique! I absolutely fell in LOVE with it when I saw it. So beautiful to hold in your hands, so different, and actually very functional -- if you have special cards and notes you really want to hang on to. Stitched on a 31 x 31 square of linen... you'll have some generous corners left-over for smaller ornaments or sewing cases. Such a pretty presentation for needlework!

A sweet piece to stitch, Praiseworthy Stitches brings you a 70 x 70 stitch count design, worked on 32ct Ivory, featuring a Queen Stitch Strawberry surrounded by a border of green. The little berry is solid Queen Stitches, but instead of being packed together with shared holes joining each stitch, there is a thread between each Queen, so you can actually SEE all your hard work and multiple stitches!!

Pretty colors of Sampler threads used -- Cherry Wine, Dried Thyme, Victorian Pink, Cameo Pink and Avocado! Offered as the chart.

Stitch a frame for a favorite summer photograph, or get into *The Spirit of Color* with one of Vicki's newest pieces!!! Her 4 latest leaflets have floated through our doors, and we just love the cheerfulness of them all! Picture Perfect has two 'template' designs for picture frames. There are great tips and instructions included for mounting the photo to the stretched needlework -- great information in here! Peas & Qs is a colorful summer garden medley -- stitched in DMC flosses!

Celebrate America features two designs -- Liberty Circle is the larger, and would make an awesome pillow designs, because it has lots of 'top' edges!!! The smaller design is a floral star! You'll notice it tucked up in the corner motif of the front cover. Finally, spell SUMMER in the most charming fashion! The beach chair and the garden, this measures approx 4 x 17, and features 47 different shades of DMC!

We've just received 4 new designs for some fun little 9 x 9-ish 'doilys' for votive-sized candles. Of course, nothing SAYS you have to put a candle on top of them... they're pretty just 'empty!!!' Hospitality pineapples, 4 different striped lighthouses, buzzy bees, and the super-fun patriotic star shape... each is offered as a chart, and stitched on various colors of 28ct linen using a combination of Weeks overdyeds and DMC flosses.

Each is then finished onto a piece of coordinating Weeks Dye Works hand-dyed wool, which covers up your stitched back. A bit of decorative hand-stitching around the wool edge, and you're finished!!! Cute designs, good colors, easy finishing! PGP has several other designs like these... make sure to check 'em out!

This 36-page book is just breathtakingly beautiful! Monochromatic florals -- pictures stitched in one single family of colors -- this book offers pillows, coasters, eyeglass cases... lots of different finishing applications for several different designs. Bold patterns of grape clusters, birds, leaves and blossoms, the shading is just awesome on these.

Each chart is coded for 5 different color-ways -- 7 shaded colors in each. Since these are suitable for cross stitch OR needlepoint... everything can turn out so differently from another! Just lovely, and very sophisticated... this is our second shipment of this publication... because the shop gals 'cleaned us out' with the first shipment!!!

Brenda Gervais has a charming new primitive heart design that is stitched over one thread on 28ct, and then finished into a stuffed heart. She shows it perched atop an antique oil can, but a neat old thread spool would be cool, just anything you could use as a stand.

Simple Cross Stitches, she even gives you the instructions to make the little wool strawberry hanging on this! (It calls for a rusty safety pin to attach it!) Anyway, just a neat application for your needlework... I could see lots of smaller things finished like this -- a creative way to display! Heart Pin keep finishes approx 7 inches tall, offered as the chart with instructions.

I found some neat little 3/8 inch heart-shaped charms that say *Made With Love* on both sides! Nothing elegant, they are cool, however, because you can attach one to absolutely every thing you stitch... sometimes beside your signature or initials, sometimes... just an added trinket appearing someplace unexpected.

Tiny, shiny dressings to accent the fact that you've hand-made something special -- complete with love -- I thought they were kind of fun! Packed in bags of 12 silver-toned charms, they're only $3.00 a bag... but they look like a million bucks on your finished creations!

WOW... AT LAST... a stitch diagram book for us Left-Handed Stitchers!!!!!!!!! This is a beautifully presented, 160 page, softcover book of embroidery stitches. 73 Different stitches are diagrammed with multiple illustrations, and each stitch is photographed as well, so you can see how it really looks. Awesome to me, because as a 'Lefty' we learn to look at things in a different way, and our eye simply has to adapt to the standard right-handed drawings.

This book has the needle in the RIGHT PLACE to my eye! It's going in the *right direction* to me... I GET it! If you are left-handed, or know someone who is... GET THIS BOOK! It is an absolute delight to page through... author Yvette Stanton of Australia is one of us 'Leftys' and she's done a lovely job with this book.

Beaded Berries and Padded Rhodes Hearts of 26 stitches give Periwinkle Promises' newest band sampler lots of texture and interest! VERY much in Barbara's design style, this 7 x 7-1/2 inch band sampler is loaded with all her favorite stitches of Holbein, Palestrina Knots, Rices and Smyrnas, Mosaics and slants... 4-Sided... you name it. The berries are actually little stitched circles of beads stacked and stacked... so it makes you want to pick one and eat it!

Offered in chart format, the model is stitched on 28ct Natural, and the pattern converts for silks or DMC floss. The kit includes the 28ct Natural Glasgow linen and lots of silk. Quite the fun thing to stitch!

Lilipoints has a sweet piece that we've ordered into the shop! A wispy-light bouquet of hearts and love... the leaves and 'flowers' are decorated with all sorts of great *mommy words!* A generous 194 x 194 stitch count, this is offered as a chart, and coded for DMC.

Kelmscott has lots of new things... this little blue and white cameo Peacock Needle Minder is just one! A classic blue -- DMC 518-ish -- Paula said she was photographing peacocks on the stone walls of Leeds Castle in England last year, and this one was her favorite! Voila!

Attention: Ladybug Lovers! Oh, is this a sweet little thing! A 3 x 4-ish sewing case, this holds your scissors, a few threads and needles and a tiny ruler. Stitched on Weeks Dye Works 30ct Liberty Linen -- you can see what a bright, pretty red the fabric is -- the black spots are simply Rhodes Octagons. Stitch the spots, then follow the assembly instructions to make your bug case!

Newly released from JBW, is this charming set of 12 Fall-inspired ornaments which can be stitched individually and finished lots of different ways, or stitched together surrounded by a simple border. Not all Halloween or all Fall, you get acorns, apples, pumpkins and pears, a schoolhouse, Autumn wreath, a squirrel, owl, turkey and cat, , even a maple tree and little pot of blooming mums!

Offered in Judy's small card format, you get a tiny charm or bead for each 2 x 2 design. If you were one of lucky ones to have joined us last summer for our weekend with JBW and Lizzie Kate... you'll recognize these little guys as part of our weekend's projects!!! JBW has a sweet country french rabbit design that would be cute as a baby announcement or nursery pillow. Stitched in only one color... you can choose anything you wish! This little bunny chart comes with a charming soft-buttermilk-yellow enameled baby cup that features an old fashioned pencil sketch drawing of a running rabbit. The baby cup measures approx 2-1/2 inches high by 2-1/2 in diameter.

Offered together as the chart, a cut of Antique White 28ct linen, some buttons and a skein of floss, and the darling little cup, the idea is to stitch the rabbit and make a pillow, giving it together with the cup as a special baby gift.

Well, these are darling little things! Little 2-5/8" creations, they feature multi-colored handles -- an enameled finish -- and each is different from the other!

Actually, a very nice, tight cut, the blades are a mere 3/4 an inch long! Not a super-duper sharp point... but cute little guys anyway! Get a couple for your zestier scissor fobs!

Part 6 -- the final installment -- of Bent Creek's Big Round Zipper is here, and it finishes out this charming 'Circle of Life' piece! Stitched on 18ct linen... you get that, along with all the border threads in the first package. The next 5 kits have all contained a 'piece of the pie' -- the chart and more threads and embellishments.

We've debated, in the shop, as to the top and bottom of this design... and it's either the flowers in the center growing UP, or the waves in the center and the little crab facing UP! But who really knows!!!? It IS colorful and cute, and needs a nice big wall, or nice big empty couch that needs a gigantic pillow presentation! Chart includes the #5 Perles and a button.

This is a WONDERFUL little lamp!!! Our second shipment has arrived and we are once again excited about this remarkable lamp!

It has a weighted base, and plugs in to regular wall outlet. You can see on the arm bends halfway up for adjustment. Then, where the lens meets the arm... THAT is a heavy-duty ball joint, so the lens swivels and turns *just how you want!* See the little flip-up lens cover? It stores safely in a sunny room, stays clean, and can't get scratched (by kitties or the cleaning lady) because the lens is covered when not in use. 4-Inch lens, 3-diopter magnification, with little 5X mag area.

BEST PART is the natural daylight balanced 12 watt circular tube bulb surrounding that lens. Your work area is so beautifully lit... you are going to be SO HAPPY! Island Cottage Needlearts has released their second Thread Palette Prim design. This time, we have a 5 x 5 square board, black, with pairs of heart-shaped holes at each corner, to hold threads. The middle area is decorated with your stitching of a primitive sheep and his blackbird buddy (who could stand to lose some weight!)

The complete kit contains the chart, painted palette, felt batting to mount your stitching onto the pre-cut board, the Weeks 30ct hand-dyed Straw linen, Gentle Art Sampler Threads and a skein of DMC to make the twisted cording to help finish the piece.

Nora Corbett's final two alphabet fairies... lovely little wisps of things... many are spelling out a name with this set of letters.

Little By Little has two new samplers. Quaker Faith features a few more colors than most Quaker-inspired pieces do, so it's really very pretty. Bee Story, however, is over-the-top charming!!!!! 'Over in the meadow in a snug beehive, lived a mother honey bee and her little bees 5. BUZZ said the mama. We buzz said the 5, all snug in their cozy beehive!'

A luscious flower garden, the welcoming little front door... even the swirly snail is cute! (The word 'their' is mis spelled in the design... you'll probably want to fix that, but maybe not! Both are offered as individual charts. Quaker calls for DMC, Bee Story uses both DMC and Gentle Art Sampler Threads.

The Stitching Parlour has a new collection of monthly designs, all presented together in one chart pack! Each month's square is cute... but POPS with personality when you add all the Just Another Button Company clay buttons!

The chart runs only $10... the buttons, quite a bit more! (but it's worth it!) Stitched with Crescent Colours hand-dyed flosses, this finishes approx 9 x 12 on 28ct. Really cute... all those buttons make this so much fun to enjoy!

Stitch a pretty Crewel-embroidery-inspired piece... complete with Chain, Satin, Buttonhole Bars, Cross Stitch and French Knots. This finishes approx 6 x 8 on 32ct, and is worked entirely in regular DMC flosses.

The stitching instructions are clear -- but there are NO stitch diagrams in here!!!!! If you need a bit of help, you'll have to reference your stitch diagram reference books!!! The cover picture is really clear... but it is your only reference for pics of those special stitches! If you're familiar with them, you'll have no problems working this.

Cedar Hill has a sweet new piece, soft restful greens and violets, even the sheep are quiet! 17 DMC floss shades, regular Cross Stitch, this finishes approx 6 x 6.

Just simple and pretty, would be pretty as a framed piece or a big, fluffy silk pillow!

Well, Spring is here... but golly, these new Punch Needle designs are SO COOL... I couldn't just wait on them and show them to you next September!!! All is Calm is presented on a huge piece of stamped Weaver's Cloth... his design is contemporary, colorful, and I just LOVE those antlers!!! He finishes approx 6-1/2 x 5-/12.

Pumpkin Keeper is neat too. She's gardening in her pumpkin patch... I don't think you can see in the pic, but the pumpkin is really a smiling Jack-o-lantern! Fraktur-inspired motifs, this is finished into a pumpkin-shaped stand-up -- complete with REAL pumpkin stem!!!!! What an awesome way to finish and display your needlework! (Brenda has a cross-stitched pumpkin, as well.) All of her new things are so neat... we have 4 more on her designer page!!!

'A Whole Basket Full!' Well... any knitter, weaver, or primitive wool artists needs this stitched to adorn her baskets, bags and piles of wool!!!!! A 'huswif' is a folded or rolled case for holding needlework supplies, and often they were tucked in pockets beneath women's skirts. Typically make from left-over fabric scraps, Mrs W's case shows 5 different patterns inside (you choose.)

Ellen chose a single-color stitched vine for the outside of this case... to showcase both the thread and the interior fabrics you choose. Maybe you have fabrics left over from a quilt you made... old fabric scraps left over from when you sewed your children's clothes??? (my mom sewed my sister and I nightgowns and matching miniatures for our Barbie dolls!!! Complete with the elastic around the 1/2-inch wrists!)

So... WHO was Mrs W? She is designer Ellen Chester's 8X Great Grandmother, born in England around 1610!!!!!! Amy Waddelow and her husband Nicholas had 3 daughters -- Patience, Temperance, and Comfort! Anyway... this is a charming needlework case that really deserves to showcase some family heirloom fabrics, and possibly a few initials tossed into that lavish vine decorating the outside! Offered as a chart, this measures approx 6-1/2 x 15-1/2 on 32ct. Choose your family fabrics first, then linen and threads.

The Sunflower Seed has a few new designs, I thought this one was kind of fun! A soft, stylized spot-motif floral sampler, if you don't live in Topeka, KS... you'll have to get creative and figure out something else to spell into those spaces!

Offered as a chart, this finishes approx 4 x 11, and is stitched in either DMC or Sampler Threads. I think my three favorite parts are those funky little animals in the squares! You can purchase the larger chart, or get the 'left-hand bunny section' in a smaller card format. The stitched models are charming!

Oh Gosh... this is the cutest set of designs! 'Smirk' is the darling little girl featured in each design... this book has 52 of her!!!!!!! Each design finishes approx 4 x 6, and actually features very little in the way of stitching.

52 Different personality traits, I even like JUST the little dogs and cats featured!!! Charted for DMC flosses, the book is 48 pages stuffed full of GIRLIE CHARM!!!

This is a charming adaptation of a 19th Century Friendship Token... a piece of needlework, folded into a secret message! I'm not sure how to describe this... your stitching is done on 14ct perforated paper and forms two parts of the heart-shaped pages... then all is assembled into a folded heart-shaped 'envelope.'

Closed... this is simply a flat heart. It opens to reveal the pages of your message, and copies of the vintage antique piece. Can you see from our pic how this resembles on open flower? (The little black clamp-stand in the pic came from the photo dept at Kohl's for $5!!!)

Each heart page measures approx 4 x 4-1/2 inches. Package includes the charts, perf paper, felt for needle pages, and 3 pages of colorful, vintage prints of messages to include in your token, along with the assembly instructions. Not sure I've described this perfectly... but the finished piece was lovely... and if you are an antique needlework-lover... this is for YOU!

A delightful little Punch Needle design... this little guy punches into a 3-1/2 inch bird. He is perched atop an antique oil can, which might be harder to find, than the punching is to do! Offered as the design stamped onto weaver's cloth, his tummy has a picture of a house, with gardens of lavish vines.

What a cute finishing idea! Brenda did our little sampler bird like this... so take a look, if you want a cross-stitched bird instead of a punch needle one!

Oh... this is the final publication in this lovely set of 4 Sampler Collections!!! 10 Old and new samplers -- all with Quaker-inspired motifs -- are presented in Ann's cool vintage-designed envelopes!

Some, she published in 1998 and 1999... some are new, some are reproductions... you get a set of 10 charts, with those awesome envelopes. Most of these samplers are on the plainer side -- compared to her other Sampler Collections.

We still have the previous Volumes available, but I understand they will be retiring... as they sell out, so finish your collection while you still can! Lovely presentations!

This is a charming set of designs that fits on top, inside of, and around the sides of a trio of woven baskets you can find online at ikea.com! (I believe the baskets are named 'Fryken,' so put that in the search box on that website.) You'll need a fat quarter yard of 32ct linen to stitch this fun set of bands, lids and smalls... there are 13 different stitched pieces in all!

Coded for 16 colors of Stitches & Spice hand-dyed flosses of Australia, we have them... but if you don't want to use those threads, I'm sure your stash of overdyed will work beautifully! Peacocks, flower urns, a family, fir trees, little birds and whatnots... all are scattered like small samplers on each of the pieces. Offered as the chart, there is a floral Waxer piece and set of Butterfly Couture flower pins that are pictured on the pattern. We have them as well, and are offering them separately!

Just a really sweet set of pieces, even the baskets are cool! (Note: Large basket has top area of approx 5-1/2 inches... you might even have a cute 'unadorned' basket somewhere just waiting to be dressed!)

Well, this is *THE MOST CHARMING* little tuffet!!! A tiny table set for High Tea... your stitches (a few Smyrna Crosses, rest are regular Cross) are adorned with a trio of exquisitely hand-painted Charm Garden Pins, commissioned by Nan! Six sides -- each approx 4 x 4 -- stitching on all of them (just a line and bee on the bottom panel) you stitch the rose garden trellis table cloth cascading down each side of your 28ct Light Sand Cashel cushion.

The top panel features a 'lace doily' adorned with pearls. 'Set' your tea table with pins of a tiny tea pot, tea cup (full of tea!) and pink frosted cupcake in silver wrapper - complete with itsy-bitsy colored sprinkles on top!!! The set of pins adds such a charming touch!

Tea With Honey Pin Set from Just Nan

The design is actually stitched on one piece of fabric... the finished cushion kind of teases you about that... you imagine 6 separate pieces, it is not! The chart comes with a band of pink card-stock paper that you'll see wrapped around the base of the cube. (Kind of a pretty way to conceal any bumpy or rounded edges on the bottom of your finished tuffet.) The whole thing reminds me of a delicate and delicious frosted petit four! Offered as the chart with Tea Party Pin set, pearls, cardstock banding finishing paper and complete finishing instructions, just lovely and unique!

Nan has a new sampler to remind you that GREEN IS GOOD! A charming band sampler, this is reminiscent to me of Nan's early samplers that had those rows of tiny Blackwork insects and animals that were hidden in the stitches! She has rows of frogs in here... you don't *see* the little frogs, until you study it a bit... and there they are, so involved and cute! Special stitches include some Leviathans, Herringbones, Satins and some real fun Leaf Stitches.

Lovely, fresh, brilliant pinks and greens... the verse advises us to 'Leave the Earth a Little Greener', which you will, if you stitch this, because it IS green!!! Offered as the leaflet with painted bluebird charm bead embellishments, stitched in either DMCs or silks on 32ct hand-dyed Spring Garden Belfast Linen, it finishes approx 11 x 3-3/4. I just love the colors!!!

'You will surely reap what ye sow.' Jenny Bean stitches this charming sampler... it's her third! With a stitch count of 180 x 180, yours will finish approx 9 x 9 on 40ct... or it could be 11 x 11 if you choose 32! Pick what makes you happy! Worked in Gentle Art overdyed Sampler Threads, the colors are very pretty pinks, lavenders, greens, some brown, and a *touch* of a mustard color. A spot-motif-type of arrangement, all the sections feature pretty designs -- the flower urn in the upper left corner is pretty all by itself, the house is cool, and so is the willow tree!

Teresa tells you to embellish your sampler however you wish. There are some tiny stitched keys on here -- charms would be fun, and the flower urn up there might like a few buttons from your antique button stash! Just some ideas. Presenting Tina's new patriotic sampler for the 2010 season, My Land features a shepherd couple tending the sheep and American flag. The border is a lovely, free-flowing floral vine that hides the verse of the piece -- the words to the song My Country 'tis of Thee! You have to look very closely to see those phrases... and it makes all of this so charming!

Offered as a complete kit, this is stitched on Weeks 30ct Parchment Linen in several shades of solid and hand-dyed silks -- lots of green, along with roses, dusky, and navy blues.

Finished size is approx 6 x 13-1/2. In looking at this... I like the bottom half without the top... and the top without the bottom... which, I guess, means that I like the whole thing, too!

Just Nan has several new releases, her Needle Tweet 'Sisters' are a colorful trio of Needle Keepers to grace your Springtime stitching basket! Delightful little 1-1/2 x 1-3/4 linen birds, Daisy is stitched on Weeks 30ct Honeysuckle Yellow linen, Pinkie is worked on Sophie's Pink, and Lila is stitched on Lilac linen. Each Tweet is lined with a soft green hand-dyed wool from Weeks, garnished with a few glass seed beads, sports a polka-dot ribbon tail, and features lovely crystal glass flower beads (from Nan's incredible embellishment menagerie!) for their eyes.

Nan has outdone herself with the beginnings of a stunning collection of Vintage Thread Winders. Small 2-inch pieces that were used to wrap and store threads centuries ago are back with a touch of splendor! Actual vintage pieces of stamped brass, the detail of these is incredible. The roses look like real roses, the lines and dot decorations on the ribbons are all clear and smooth, the filigree detail on the butterfly is swirly and even... just lovely!

In the olden days, thread winders were just a necessity... a way to store threads, even used as advertising by thread companies. (Similiar to an imprinted ball point pen you'd get as advertising today!) Every sewing case needs a few of these classy pieces holding bits of precious thread... what's in YOUR sewing case?

Just Nan's Winter 2010 Market Special... we came home from Market with a few of this charming little bunny nestled in his own silver Whimzi frame. Stitched with DMC flosses on 32ct hand-dyed Spring Garden Belfast Linen, he/she is just plain cross stitch... and finishes 2 x 2.

The embossed frame that is included features a stack of three embellishments to make a lavish medallion at the base of the pink ribbon hanger. Package includes the chart, linen, and frame, you supply the bits of DMC. Just precious, and very limited in edition!

A festive wall hanging by Trail Creek Farm, this banner is a medley of 8 different melon, light blue, and yellow fabrics -- a patchwork of 4 on each side -- so you choose your favorite! The 6 x 9 design is a Springtime tree full of colorful little birds all perched on it's branches. Stitch it on the lusciously bright and fresh Week Dye Works lemon-yellow hand-dyed 30ct linen, that Susan has hand-screened *again*, with some lighter circles, then button your stitching onto the 10 x 12 banner!

So soft, bright and cheerful... the banner is ready-made, and hangs via that striped ribbon handle. Birdie Sampler includes the banner, chart, hand-screened linen and 4 coordinating fabric-covered buttons to attach the stitching. (Susan's fabrics are all awesome... Prairie Moon offers a glimpse into the *eccentric excitement* happening at the now famous night club 'The Crypt Club!' There is a dance contest going on... 'Prizes to Die For!' 4 Different designs in this set so far, they're all pretty 'out there' and bring smiles to the faces of some!!!

We have an awesome selection of 9 new Punch Needle designs by Shawn Williams... only 3 are pictured here, because I didn't have room for them all! Over-the-top luscious DMC flosses (NOT funky overdyeds that are hard to find!) are used to create her bold and classic designs! She includes a HUGE piece of pre-stamped weaver's cloth so you can fit these in a large hoop or frame easily, and stamping are clear and dark.

The Drumstick Dancers form the chorus line you're enjoying! Bless This House is a charming oval piece that measures 6-1/2 x 12! (The weaver's cloth cut in here is 18 x 20!!!) Prancing Pony is a smaller piece... deep reds, and that classic penny rug border treatment... he's only 3 x 5!

I think Threads That Bind is the best Punch Needle Artist in the industry... our shop models are ALWAYS showstoppers, and she commands that attention with good 'ol DMC!!!

Milady's Needle has 8 new teeny-weeny Quaker-inspired designs that are stitched over one thread on 36ct, and mounted into the *most charming* tiny glass pendant cases!!! Offered as complete kits, you get enough 36ct Luna Linen by Lakeside AND enough Vicki Clayton hand-dyed silk to stitch ALL FOUR designs in each set.

The package comes with one set of pendant hardware, but we have extras available individually. Gloria showed us how the little cases open so you can switch out the needlework... but you might want extra pendant pieces anyhow, so that the closure doesn't get loose over time, and you aren't handling your stitching too much.

Anyway, lovely, shiny, clear and clean silver... some pendants you've seen in this style are a primitive tin... these are silver. The square one measures 1-1/2 inches, while the rectangular size is 3/4 x 2. Not too large to wear as a piece of jewelry! Complete kits contain the charts, linen, one pendant, silks and assembly instructions. VERY NICE!

Rosewood Manor has a *really cool* new Biscornu-shaped seaside village... houses and businesses on one side, and the mad, churning waves gracing the other! Stitched on 32ct light blue linen... each building that goes around the whole piece is unique, and full of lots of tiny details. Lighthouses, shops, cottages, hotels, a market, City Hall, the boathouse, schools and churches... just charming! They are on the top side.

The bottom is a brilliant medley of rolling waves, so full of color and motion. Simply stitch both sides, and hand-attach together to make your 8-ish inch cushion! I've not seen anything like this, so it has been endearing. Karen shows some wrapped fish thread winders tossed into the center cavity, just for decoration. Offered as a leaflet with huge charts and great assembly instructions! Just an awesome sit-about!

'Lay all the steps of pride aside, Let truth and wisdom be your guide.' This is an awesome sewing case that is bursting with dynamic Bargello/Florentine Stitching! Stitched in soft overdyeds of greens and rose-pinks (the colors are soft and pretty!) on Week's 35ct hand-dyed Linen, the outside Bargello is stunning.... and features small areas with flowers. The verse panel is the back.

Next, on the inside of the case, you have wool pockets (Rose Quartz from Weeks) and a linen pocket that can hold such treasures as scissors, thread rings and winders, and needle minders! The whole thing measures approx 10 x 18... and features that wonderful Bargello on the front and lots of Rhodes, Blanket, Eyelets, Smryna, Lazy Daisy and Rice stitches on the inside.

There is a beaded scissor fob, so we have that bag of beads, too, and have included it!!! Lots of glass and crystal beads and the clam-shell finding... there was no question... we had to have beads to match every case!!! The booklet has 23 pages of charts and diagrams, along with finishing instructions. Print our pics here... for some extra guidelines! Just a really pretty piece, in lovely, soft pinks and greens!

Val's Stitchin' Stuff has a cute new Easter design... I think it's a kitty disguised as the Easter Bunny! Stitched with Crescent Colours hand-dyed flosses or DMC, the little kitty/bunny is offered as a chart and finishes approx 4 x 5. She's then buttoned onto Trail Creek Farm's REVERSIBLE Wall Wearable! A pretty medley of purples, aqua, blue and yellow... you 'gotta love' that green polka-dot bow!!!

Totally sewn together -- do nothing but unwrap your Wearable from the cellophane package! It measures a generous 10-1/2 x 10-1/2. Anyway... put MS Kitty/Bunny on one side, and find something else cute for the other... lots of possibilities!

We have 18 sets of darling Christmas pins by Butterfly Couture of France! They are already sold out from Pascale... so we have our few sets only till they're gone. Charming hand-made polymer clay-topped pins, these are especially cute poked into stitched Christmas ornaments up by their hangers and bows, as well as Holiday pin cushions pins! You can even pin them through a bow that closes a pretty sewing case!

You don't have to keep them together as a set... they'll be happy in lots of different places! Set of 6 includes the evergreen tree, snowman, package, Santa, candle and holly sprig.

Oh, gosh, these have no Cross-Stitch on them... but they ARE the most darling little wool needle cases! I saw them at Market, and HAD to HAVE them! Offered as patterns, they all use Weeks Hand-dyed Wools -- which we carry! Over-the-top cute, each piece is traced and cut out of the wool, simply whip-stitched together (you can buttonhole if you want!) couple of Mill Hill beads or Treasures, a few JABCO buttons... embellish here and there... each 6 x 6-ish case is cuter than the last!

We brought home a kitty -- opens to reveal a mouse and catnip flowerpot that stores scissors! The puppy opens to a bone (for the scissors) and fire hydrant! The Jack-o-Lantern opens to a ghost needlebook, candy corn scissor case and boo pouch! Mr Snowman has a tree needlebook, mitten for scissors, and center pocket! TOO FUN!

We found a new designer to the cross-stitch industry at Market a couple of weeks ago -- All Through The Night. They've been in the quilting end of things, and have begun to chart some designs! Their first, Jolly Jack, is offered as a 5 x 9 chart, with a beautiful glossy model pic,and he's awesome! Worked on Weeks 30ct Putty Hand-dyed linen, in 9 different shades of Weeks flosses, he finishes approx 5 x 5.

Most of All Through The Night's designs are actually wool with primitive stitching! Since we carry all of Week's hand-dyed wools, we thought these were worth a look! Besides... they are simply beautiful in person, and we fell in love with them! A Small House, pictured here, is just one of 9 that we have!
