 Miniature QuiltsFive new miniature quilt designs by Kreinik are here. Several things are special about these -- each complete kit contains enough silk thread to stitch its particular quilt pattern on a Tokens & Trifles paper sewing card! The kits contain one perforated card, and another companion piece that is to cover the back of your stitching. (We like to put a piece of felt between the two cards, then tie them together for a needlecase.) The sewing cards measure approx 2-1/2 x 3-3/4... so these are petite enough to frame and sit on a small table or shelf. Grandmother's Flower Garden has pretty rose colors; Spools has black, and dusty periwinkles and roses; Shoofly is done in mauve-lavenders and moss green, Airplanes uses soft blue and deep golden yellow, and Baltimore Album has a lot of red and purples. You'll need a #28 needle to stitch these... kits say one is included... but I don't see it! So... don't get caught without a needle! | |
 The Sheep's in the MeadowThis precious little fluffy sheep is needlepunched in SILK! Designed by Erica Michaels for Kreinik, this is offered as a re-useable iron-on transfer for your weaver's cloth, along with 9 complete skeins of Milkpaint Silk. Such soft buttermilk-y shades of cream, rose, light blues and greens... your little lamb is grazing on a green hillside among the pink wildflowers. Finishing approx 3 x 3, you could frame this, or make it into a pin to wear. The silk threads will be such a treat in your punch needle... and the loops will feel dreamy! | |
Victorian Needle Fan  A charming needlecase design featuring Token & Trifles 'Confection' shaped sewing cards... this little fan-case folds closed to hide those precious needles! Finishing approx 7 inches wide x 4 when opened, each card is stitched with taupe, buttermilk, rose and green silks, and features a needle size number. The back of each page is covered with a piece of wool or felt, to hold needles. It's a cute idea! It's OK to Giggle  A sweet message for a little girl in your life... this is stitched in pretty pinks, yellow, and a bit of brilliant aqua silk. It measures 2 x 6 on 28ct, and is really quite simple and quick. Consider stitching it into a big fluffy pillow.. with lots of ball fringe or fun tassels for her bed... be creative! Ohio Star and Irish Chain  Two goregous miniature quilts are stitched over one thread on 32ct Belfast Linen using soft Milkpaint silks! The black cat sillouette adds some contrast... but I bet if you're not a cat person... you could re-create the rest of the quilt instead. Finishing a mere 3 x 3 for the Ohio, and 2 x 3 for the Irish, the shading is so soft, you'd think these were stitched with hand-dyed silks! Just beautiful miniature works of art, Kreinik is offering these as the chart with the silks. (There is not enough silk included for these to be stitched over two threads, sorry.) You add the bit of linen. |

He's so detailed, we've photographed him beside a quarter, so you can tell just how teeny and special he really is! Celebrating the women who stitched before us. This charming little sampler measures only 5 x 8," and can be folded into a needle book, if you'd like to finish it that way.
Our pic isn't doing it justice, as the colors are soft greens, butter, and peach, so we'll have another as soon as our model is finished!
