Milady's Needle has 8 new teeny-weeny Quaker-inspired designs that are stitched over one thread on 36ct, and mounted into the *most charming* tiny glass pendant cases!!! Offered as complete kits, you get enough 36ct Luna Linen by Lakeside AND enough Vicki Clayton hand-dyed silk to stitch ALL FOUR designs in each set.

The package comes with one set of pendant hardware, but we have extras available individually. Gloria showed us how the little cases open so you can switch out the needlework... but you might want extra pendant pieces anyhow, so that the closure doesn't get loose over time, and you aren't handling your stitching too much.

Anyway, lovely, shiny, clear and clean silver... some pendants you've seen in this style are a primitive tin... these are silver. The square one measures 1-1/2 inches, while the rectangular size is 3/4 x 2. Not too large to wear as a piece of jewelry! Complete kits contain the charts, linen, one pendant, silks and assembly instructions. VERY NICE!

This is SO CUTE! It's a 2-7/8 x 4-3/8 inch sampler stitched on 40ct vintage Buttercream Lakeside Linen, using Rainbow Gallery's Splendor Silk! Deep Navy, Burgandy, Browns and Butterscotch, the sampler is small and simple, quick to stitch. Once it's finished, simply mount to one side of the wooden hornbook paddle that is included in the complete kit.

Then, Gloria has included the lesson for the school day... the alphabet and numerals that you need to learn. She has included these on parchment paper, and printed them in four different fonts, so you can choose the one you like best. It mounts to the reverse side of the 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 hornbook. What a neat piece to have in your needlework display!!! Offered as the complete kit of chart, linen, silks, wooden hornbook, paper lesson, and finishing instructions.

This is an entire set of matching stitching tool pieces... all stitched in Red Currant and Clay Pot Crescent Colours Cottons (you'll need 4 skeins of each color, but you can always choose another pair of colors, as well!) A ruler design, Floss Tag, a Stitching Pocket to hold some of the pieces, a Needle Book, and tiny Scissor Fob... all is stitched on both the front and back sides, using regular Cross Stitch.

The instructions include a great 'Pattern Map' -- an overall diagram of piece placement on your 21-1/2 x 12 cut of 40ct linen. If you choose another count, you'll have to adjust your ruler and floss tag designs... they are the only things that won't fit into the Lucite finishing pieces. This is a charming little 2 x 2-1/2 x 3-1/3 antiqued and embossed box with removable lid... which showcases a charming Adam and Eve Garden of Eden scene. The apple tree complete with serpent, birds, boxers and a squirrel, everything is on there... perched on the box lid. Inside stores a smaller matching scissor fob, which measures approx 1 x 1!

Milady's Needle offers this as a complete kit of the Bri-Waxed box, cut of 40ct Vintage Buttercream hand-dyed linen, lining fabric, Gentle Art and Crescent hand-dyed flosses, charts and finishing instructions. The finish on the box is a rubbed, primitive, stained finish... the same as her little acorn box! Colors are soft, deep and rich.

A positive/negative pair of Christmas trees... look closely... there are two different designs that are stitched two different ways... four different trees!

Offered as a chart, each tree is stitched in only one shade of hand-dyed thread. Fabric is your choice... everybody loves one over one... but you can stitch on anything you like best! Stitch counts are 49 x 81... cute little trees!

This is a sweet set of acorns stitched on 40ct Pearled Barley linen by Lakeside. Milady's Needle has provided a 3 x 3 x 2 paper-mache box, with some really pretty embossing on the sides. Your needlework fits on the top, and there is a matching scissor fob to store inside. Offered as the kit of brown painted box, 40ct linen, charts and finishing instructions, and the Crescent Colour's Belle Soie Silks.

Gloria adds lots more instructions to paint and gloss your little box, so that it can look like leather! I like it just the way it is now, though! Simple cross stitch, this is a neat little project, the Kelmscott acorn thread keeper, shown on the kit front, is offered separately.

This is one of 6 awesome new releases by Milady's Needle. OK... lots of history with this one! This is a small portion of a sampler stitched in 1786 by Elizabeth Huggins. The original piece is worked entirely in Reversible Cross Stitch and Algerian Eyelet Stitch -- which means that this looks the SAME ON THE FRONT AND BACK SIDES!!! A fun little stitch... where do you end your threads???... front or back... but which is which??? Lots of the charming original mistakes are still in this, and since it is not symmetric, you do have to pay attention to the chart!

The pic shows the sampler 'framed' on a working frame, which would really show off that backside -- whichever side that is -- to perfection! Milady's Needle is planning to release the larger reproduction of Elizabeth's sampler later this year, I believe... this is the Practice Piece so you can learn that Reversible Cross Stitch just in time for the bigger piece! And one asks... WHY one would want to stitch so the front and back are identical??? Simply answered... 'Because One Can!' Offered as the chart, you can stitch this with regular cross stitches, too... if you'd rather not learn a new trick!

A cheerful little band sampler, what is extra-special about it is the fact that each of the 4 motif borders featured between the lines of the verse are actually Milady's Needle's ruler designs! (When you click the pic, you'll see what I mean!) Anyway, a pretty sampler, it finishes approx 6 x 10 on 40ct, and features bits of Cross, Algerian Eye, and Double Running Stitches. Luscious overdyeds from Gentle Art, Crescent and Weeks, it's a very organized little piece!

This is the accessory set of pieces that matches Milady's Bees Ruler pattern. A darling little scissor case with a matching scissor fob and needle case, all the pieces use the same colors and design motifs, so it's quite a cute set. The matching pieces to the Quaker Ruler, this is a cheerfully colorful set stitched with soft raspberry, denim and golden butterscotch colors.

Stitched in Crescent Colours overdyeds, I imagine one set of the flosses will probably do all three sets of pieces... none of these are huge, because they are worked on 40ct.

"Needles and Pins, Needles and Pins, When a Girl Marries, Her Trouble Begins!" That is the charming verse on Milady's new Pin Keep and Needle Book set. Stitched on 35ct Hand-dyed Linen in Splendor Silks, the sampler verse is on the front of the Keep, and a miniature paper version that holds precious needles is tucked away into the pocket on the back. Complete finishing instructions are included for the piece -- you'll need to supply more silk for the twisted cord and tassels, along with the white glass-headed pins.

Milady's Needle has introduced a trio of designs for the front and inside pages of a small Needlework Journal. Offered as charts for the front cover, there are parchment pages included in the pattern to fill into your journal. It's designed to catalog 12 to 24 of your most special needlework projects. Fitting a 4 x 6 black faux-leather photo-book with 12 inner pages, you stitch the cover, and use the printed pages inside, along with a pic of your project to document the work involved, materials used, dates and occasions stitched for or during... kind of a cool concept.

If you choose not to go the album route... you can stitch the samplers and frame them, or insert into candle screens as shown in the pic... and attach the journal pages to the back of the frames to record information that way! Lots of options with this set of designs. (Be sure to click the pic at right to see lots more!)

Ohhhh... this is a delightful little thing! Offered in chart format, you have two options for this -- the framed sampler with less stitching -- or the fabric basket, which includes more borders and stitching on the inside, outside, and bottom (!) of the basket. There is a set of accoutrements available separately, as well as a ruler with a stitched case, and both are pictured inside the package if you aren't already familiar with them.

Stitched on 36 or 40ct, the basket measures approx 10 x 10, and the sampler 6 x 6. Everything is stitched in a mixture of Sampler Threads, Crescent Colours and Weeks overdyeds of browns, brick reds, dusted blues, golds... great colors, that all match the other pieces in the set. There are several pages included in the 12 pages of charts and instructions for assembling the basket... it's all just very well presented! You need it all!!! Pictured at right are the front and back of the basket, with only one corner folded up and tied.

A new Lucite ruler pattern, this is Milady's fourth... so this joins the strawberries, acorns and Quaker designs we already have. Offered as the single chart, you'll need to stitch this on 40ct linen, and use the Crescent Colours it calls for -- so pretty! Tiny beeskeps and even tinier bees -- they take up TWO stitches each! -- the colors used are Black Coffee, Finley Gold, Spinach, Sassy Brass, Clay Pot, Second Hand Rose and Bramble Bush! The clear Lucite rulers are available separately, and measure 12 x approx 1-1/2 inches... and every desk in America (and overseas!) needs one!

Summer's Bounty Key Chains
This is a set of two different key chain designs -- that are actually different depending on the linen count you'll use! Offered as the charts with a 2-1/4 x 3 inch key tag included, the designs are simple and classic... perfect to clip onto your keys and enjoy for years to come! We have the tags individually, as well, so if you plan on making a bunch of these for friends, just get one chart, and lots of extra tags!

My Little Strawberries Ruler Pocket

Get out your magnifier and get ready to stitch this elegant creation on 40ct linen! Designed as another companion to Milady's Strawberries Rule and Accoutrements Needle and Scissor case Sets, this is so nifty! Included in the chartpack is a 6-inch shiny brass ruler. You're stitching the linen case for it... that can match your other pieces.

Worked in overdyeds, it's cross-stitched on both the front and back, as well as the flap. Complete assembly instructions are included in the pack. (Yes... I asked her... there will also be an Acorn Ruler case... but we have to be patient! There is even a stitched linen tray to hold scissors, orts, etc..in both motifs coming... but we have to be REALLY patient!) So, in the meantime, treat your stash to this, and make sure you see ML's other new releases!

Sampler Key Chains
Something practical for everyone who uses keys... you can probably think of someone special to make this for! Offered as a chartpack, with a 2-1/4 x 3 inch clear Lucite keytag included, the house and tree scenes are charted on two different fabric counts -- 36 or 40 -- in two slightly different charts. You can make the tag two-sided if you wish, and vary fabric color, just watch thread counts and stitch the correct set of charts! Pretty reds, greens and brown Crescent Overydeds, there are also 4 regular DMC shades used.

Quakers Rule

A gorgeously variegated coverlet-type design graces the inside of this 12-inch Lucite ruler! Worked on 40ct linen in Black Raspberry Jam Sampler Threads and seven different Olde Willow Overdyed flosses... the colors shade between the motifs... as well as within the skeins of thread.

This is so pretty... there is an alphabet enclosed for you personalize the piece as well. Just regular cross stitches... the colors and Quaker coverlet motifs add all the charm! Offered as the chartpack with threads. Rulers are available separately.

Acorn and Strawberries Rulers and Accoutrements
This is a really neat set of designs that features a cross-stitched lucite ruler, a matching scissor case, needlebook and scissor fob. Available as individual chart packs with the rulers separate, I think these are charming!!! Since every stitcher's bag and every desk in America (and overseas!) needs a ruler... choose all four projects, or just that ever-functional ruler! Offered are a strawberry set and an acorn set of designs. Stitched on 40ct linen in pretty reds, rusts, brown and green overdyeds, the acorn caps are stitched with a variation of a Rhodes stitch so they are raised and textured a bit for added interest.

The ruler is a lucite 12-inch piece with a removable back to make it easy to insert your needlework. (We also have a beautiful brass ruler available below.) You must stitch the designs on 40ct linen to be able to fit into the rulers, and it is suggested for the rest of the pieces, just so gauge will match. (It is an option to stitch the cases and fob on something larger, if you need to!) Very nicely done! (Can you tell that I'm taken with those rulers??? What a different gift to present to someone!)
