Arctic Circle Santas OK you Santa collectors! We bring you Mill Hill's Annual Santas #31, 32 and 33! Joining all the Alpines, Musicals, Mountain, and generally Olde World in flavor St Nicks... this year's come from the Arctic Circle!!! Greenland, Lapland and Eskimo... these are always complete kits that offer your Santa stitched on 14ct perforated paper, with a 3-dimensional floss beard and mustache, and relatively few bead embellishments. Kind of reminiscent of antique paper ornaments. They are really neat on a Christmas Tree because they catch the lights, and look very beautifully handmade! Small Autumn Harvest Magnets Mill Hill's newest set of small 2 x 2 designs, these are all cross-stitched with DMC floss and Mill Hill beads and Treasures on 14ct perforated paper. Just stitch, and cut out -- around the perf paper edge... stick on the magnet, and you're finished! Absolutely the cutest designs this year... I THINK my favorite is the little spider, but I like Mr and Mrs Bones, too! Tiny Treasured Diamonds for Fall! Oh, Gosh... these are SO CUTE! Mill Hill has done these 'diamond' kits for Christmas... but never Halloween before. You get a small square of 28ct evenweave fabric, and after stitching the 41 x 41 design, you fold it up into a diamond shape, dressing the bottom with a beaded tassel treatment! They look a little involved, but actually really aren't! Each complete kit contains the chart, fabric, flosses, beads, glass Treasure, and instructions for the folding and tassel. Very cute... three are stitched on white fabric, while 3 are on black. The black can be a challenge to see, but since these are little... maybe that won't matter so much!!!
2009 Spring Mini-Kits This year... we have a set of 6 new magnet designs... most of them aimed at tempting you to break your diet!!! Stitch a miniature root beer float, a bucket of popcorn, a tall and frosty glass of lemonade... or go right for the banana split!!! Celebrating the Nutcracker Ballet... each 3 x 4-1/2 ornament is stitched on 14ct perforated paper with DMC flosses and Mill Hill beads. Rocky Mountain Santas Wow... the 2008 annual trio of Santas has arrived! The 10th set... each 5-inch paper ornament features an old-world Santa stitched in flosses on 14ct perforated paper. Garnished with only a few beads, each Santa has measured approx 3 x 5, and with 30 in the series so far, they make quite a lovely presentation on a tree! New this year are Pike's Peak, Teton, and Beartooth Santa. They join past favorites like the Polar, Alpine, Mountaineer, Musical, and Medieval sets. Tiny Treasured Diamonds Mill Hill has released a set of 6 small ornaments that are stitched on 28ct white Jobelan in flosses, beads and bits of crystal and glass Treasures. Finishing less than 3 inches point to point, you stitch the tiny design, then fold back the corners to whip-stitch together to make a diamond-shaped ornament. Then, follow the pics to string together the beaded tassel that attaches to the bottom point. Beautiful little ornaments, I especially like the Dove this year, and know that the Menorah will be well received, too! Complete kits of the chart, fabric, beads, flosses and clear instructions, this is a really nice selection this year. They are small enough to actually FIT into small spaces on a Christmas Tree, the white fabric shows up well, and the stitching is minimal!
Santa's Workshop, Harvest Trio and Awaken the Day Mill Hill has licensed the artwork of Jim Shore and charted his designs into cross stitch! The first three publications are here, and they are stunning! Offered in leaflet form, each is stitched with DMC flosses and embellished with Mill Hill beads and MH's Jim Shore buttons. Santa's workshop finishes approx 12 x 15, Harvest Trio finishes approx 5 x 12, and Awaken finishes approx 8 x 10. So colorful and pretty, we've packaged the beads and buttons together if you need them!
Autumn Harvest Mill Hill's 2008 set of small ornament/pin designs for Fall 2008 have arrived. A diverse selection this year, the Hot Stuff mug is a small companion to the larger Cappuccino and Latte kits, and Moonlight Ghost -- who features a little glow-in-the-dark thread -- probably resides at the Haunted Hotel. There are two patriotic designs this year -- both are done with dark reds, denims and navys and rich golds. The Tabby Cat has great color and reminds me of last year's tiny Tuscan Cottage design! Thanks is always a welcome sentiment... the lime green and dark purple are an unusual color combination to me... I think I'd have to change that green... but it's the floss part, and so that's easy! Each design is offered as a complete kit of chart, beads, needle, flosses and an optional pin backing. They all measure approx 2-1/2 x 3 when they're finished.

Offered as complete kits of fabric, flosses, beads, chart and needles, the design is stitched in bright butter yellows, fresh apple reds and greens, and features glass beads that match all the bright colors! Easy as Pie is fun, Lil' Cupcake is cute, and I'm Jammin' lets them know your kitchen is a busy place! Each finishes approx 4-1/2 inches square and is worked on 14ct Antique White Aida. We're linen fans around here... so if Aida isn't your cup of tea... stitch these on linen! Bright, lipsmacking colors!

Holiday Harmony Kits Mill Hill has just released an AWESOME set of small bead kits -- all musical instruments -- perfect for your tree or small gifts! Each instrument measures approx 2-1/2 x 3, is stitched in floss and beads on perforated paper, and is trimmed with a brass embellishment. Choose between a Violin, French Horn, Mandolin, Harp, Drum and Trumpet. Stunning for tree ornaments, these would be perfect to give to so many people as small Christmas gifts, too! (Think of the choir director, and everyone else in your group!...and the music teacher... or the musician!) 2007 Nutcracker Suite Mill Hill has released a set of three nutcrackers stitched on 16ct white, scalloped-edged banding, that finish into small wall hangings. Offered as complete kits of chart, fabric, flosses, Treasure embellishments AND the brass hanging hardware, each finishes approx 2-1/2 x 5-1/2, and is full of bright, traditional Christmas color! Most of the stitching on these is in floss -- the bead embellishments are worked with petite beads -- and they really stand-out against the white background.

Keeping Cool Mill Hill's 2007 set of Treasured Stitching Band kits, this trio of snowmen is keeping cool, doing 'snow-y things!' Choose the skier, snow shoveler, or ice-hockey marvel... each is stitched on 16ct white scallop-edged banding, and finishes approx 2-1/2 x 5-1/2. 2007 Appalachian Santas Every year, Mill Hill does 3 old-time Santa ornaments in simple cross stitch with a little bead embellishment. This is the 9th year to add to the set of Musical, Mountaineer, Polar... all of the previous 24 are pictured on our MH Kits pages. Stitched on 14ct Perforated Paper, each finishes approx 3 x 4-1/2, and makes a charming hand-made addition to any Christmas tree! Allegheny has a teddy bead in his sack, Blue Ridge is holding a racoon and Smoky Mountain features a cat. Simple, with Olde World appeal... we keep selling the first year's set just as much as the newer ones!!! They are an awfully good value, as well... maybe that's why!

Winter Holiday Kits For the 'gazillionth' year in a row... we have a new set of tiny beaded Christmas Tree ornaments! Always cute, always 2 x 3-ish in size, always complete little kits loaded with floss, beads and sometimes a Treasure embellishment to two, they take an evening or two or three to complete. Stitched on 14ct perforated paper, the holes are easy to see, they're so colorful, and the beads just glisten reflecting the lights from your tree. Just look at that Christmas Cardinal... it's FUZZY! (How cute is that? We have a tiny springtime bluebird just like it, too.) The white angel will be stunning against the greenery of your tree, too! Our local embroider's guild chapter always stitches a few dozen of these to decorate a huge wreath that they donate to our local Philbrook Museum of Art's Holiday fundraiser (each member does one kit.) You may not be able to stitch a 'few dozen' ornaments... but choose 5 or 6 from all the years and years of kits we have still available on our MH pages, and make yourself a tiny wreath! Rooster and Apple Basket Mill Hill's Fall 2007 Autumn Harvest Set of ornament/pin designs is here!!! Two of my favorites, the Provence Rooster and Apple Basket are highlighted here -- the other four are tucked on our Mill Hill pages. Great colors, cute designs, Mill Hill is designing these to match and coordinate with the larger Button & Bead kits. So its kind of fun to use the smaller designs to embellish the frames or garnish the tops of a stand-up cube. Really great little kits for the money, they always look good hanging on a little wire Halloween Tree, too!!!

2007 Spring and Summer What-Nots Here is the 2007 set of small ornament/pin kits by Mill Hill. Really, really nice, generic designs, they go with the larger Button & Bead kits, also freshly released! The tiny Tuscan cottage is pretty, the wine glass would make a DARLING wine bottle decoration for a special gift. Kitty and Dog are always popular. The sailboat is awesomely contemporary, and the western boot is SO Oklahoma... those Mill Hill gals in Wisconsin have no idea how much these Oklahomans love their boots! (However, I too, am from WI... and don't own any cowboy boots!!!... even though I've lived in Oklahoma for 25 years!) Anyway, these 2 x 3-ish inch kits come complete with the pattern, paper, beads and necessary flosses. Quite a good value, they are really fun to stitch, and require only scissors to cut them out for finishing! Think about these for neat scrapbook ideas, or something fun to attach to a favorite picture frame as an added embellishment!

Words for Life A new set of beaded needlework kits, presented by Mill Hill, the set of 6 has been designed by Artist Debbie Mumm! They are offered as complete kits of chart, fabric, needles and beads. Six expressive words, each garnished with a flower... they seem to be pairs, with flosses and fabrics matching each other. Truth and Beauty are stitched on 16ct Twilight Blue Betsy Ross Linen. Faith and Hope are stitched on a golden mustard 16ct Heatherfield, and Love and Purity are worked on deep Chili-Pepper Red Heathefield. Holiday Greetings The most delightfully cheerful set of Holiday Personalities!!! Mill Hill has released a set of 6 mini-bell-pull designs, each offered as complete kits. Measuring approx 3 x 6, each design is stitched in flosses and garnished with glass seed beads. The included 16ct scalloped-edged banding is an Aida weave, making these a 'quicker-stitch.' Packaged as complete kits, you get the darling design, the white banding fabric, flosses, beads, Treasure embellishments AND the brass hanging hardware!!! Something about these just brings a smile to your face... I'm personally favoring that little gingerbread cookie! His 'frosting' is all beaded... I love his little tummy and all that candy in the background!

Autumn Harvest Mini-Kits for 2006 Mill Hill's set of mini-ornaments and pins for Fall and Halloween 2006 are here! Quite a nice batch, each is offered as the complete kit of chart, perforated paper, beads and more beads, flosses and any necessary Treasure embellishments. Each of these features a small cross-stitched piece that is cut out separately, and then sewn on top of the stitching already done... so there is a 3-dimensional quality. The Boo Ghost is cute, the Halloween House is really cute, and the Plaid Pumpkin tops the list as my personal favorite! Each finishes approx 2 x 2... cute as little ornaments or pins.

2006 Spring Bouquet Pin Kits The 2006 set of small Mill Hill Pin Kits has arrived! This year's set is a treat in color, because each design is stitched on a different color of perforated paper. Notice that cute feathery little bird is done on both blue and brown paper... and the flower is done on rosy coral and green! Each one of these this season is so different from the other -- it's a great set! The sunshine is totally monochromatic in golden yellows of thread, beads, bugles, and Treasures. That baby bird features glitzy Estaz thread, so he looks like the Valerie Pfeiffer birds! The Gone Fishin' Froggy's pole is just 4 little bugle beads, and his green color is lip-smacking! The Heart is ecru, raspberry and plum -- so Valentine-y! Each complete kit contains the chart, papers, flosses and any specialty threads, beads and Treasures. Polar Santa Ornaments The seventh annual set of three paper Santa Ornaments has been released! We've had 18 so far... and these three bring the set to 21! Always finishing approx 3 x 5 on perforated paper, and stitched with DMC flosses, these feature very few bead embellishments, and always a 3-D beard treatment! Offered as complete kits of pattern, paper, flosses and beads, they've stood the test of time... and just keep selling all year long! Very good looking on a Santa Christmas tree!!! 2005 Winter Medley Bell Pulls Three Santas and three snowmen make up the subject matter in this year's set of green-checkerboarded mini pulls! Offered as complete kits, these all feature natural 18ct aida banding with a checkerboard-woven edge treatment. Petite beads and a few glass Treasures, they're colorful, and cute to hang on a doorknob. For a larger presentation... try sewing the band across a pillow front, or framing them. Joyful Stars and Snowy Tree are my personal favorites!

Charmed Mittens The 2005 set of miniature mitten ornaments has arrived! This year's set is stitched on red, green and brown perforated paper for a splash of new color! (Look closely at the very edge of each design... you can tell which color of paper each uses.) Cute, cute...lots of teeny beads and a gold charm or white snowflake embellishment, these look really nice on the Christmas tree... because they're a nice size. Finishing approx 2 x 3... check out some of the previous sets from years past, too!

Darling, as usual, each features a bit of stitching that is cut out of the perforated paper, and then sewn onto the rest of the design, for a three-dimensional look! Offered as complete kits of all the 'stuff' needed... every year, we've been treated to a new selection of designs. Always a wonderful value, I especially appreciate this Fall's set of releases. As you know, Mill Hill has been sold to Wichelt Imports -- a fellow needlework industry leader and distributor. We have had issues with Mill Hill kit availability since the sale... and I'm sad to say... they continue. When this group arrived today... it felt just like 'The Old Days!!!' They're cute, colorful, fun to make, and fun to have. Delicately put... the Mill Hill line is one-of-its-kind in our industry... please appreciate all the current offerings. Over the years the Mill Hill designers have put a lot of creativity, work and love into each and every one of them! Offered this year, are these six kits... Spring 2005 Pin Whimseys Our 2005 Mill Hill spring miniatures are in the shop! Offered as complete kits, these are such a good deal, because of the huge variety of bead colors, and the Treasures included. Stitched on 14ct perforated paper, they are designed to be worn as a pin, or simply hung on a Spring Twig Tree. (The metal ornament trees work well for these, too... they offer symmetry when you arrange a lot of pieces.) Anyhow, each features a small extra piece of stitching that is attached on top of the rest of the rest of the stitching, giving these a bit of extra interest. Cute, each complete kit includes the pattern, paper, beads, flosses, needles and Treasures to create your little 3 x 3-ish creations!

Charmed Stocking Kits Oh Gosh, what a CUTE batch of bead kit designs these are!!! Six in the set... these are all stitched on green (#'s 47 and 48) or brown perforated paper... and loaded with reds, creme, green, blue and gold Holiday color. Finishing approx 2-1/2 x 4-1/2, you stitch the stocking part, and then stitch the little stuffings, cut them out, and stuff the stocking! Notice the cute things popping out of each stocking? Even the cuffs are individually stitched! Each kit features a gold charm or Treasure of some sort, and most include bugle beads as well. Very, very cute, these make WONDERFUL tree ornaments!

Mountaineer Santas Numbers 16, 17 and 18 in this annual release of three Santa kits by Mill Hill... this year's set is very old-world and 'woodsey.' Always complete kits, of 14ct natural perforated paper, a few beads, lots of flosses, the chart and needle, these all finish approx 5 inches tall. They make really nice tree ornaments, because they weigh simply nothing, and don't pull down your tree branches. The beads just glisten when the tree lights tease them!

2004 Holiday Pin Kits Six colorful, and detailed -- yet fun-to-stitch designs, these are miniature versions of the larger Button & Bead kits. Full of bright colored beads, stitched on the 14ct paper with some neat texturing stitches, they finish in about 3 to 6 hours each. Complete kits contain the chart, paper, beads, flosses and a Mill Hill Treasure of some sort, along with a jewelry pin back...if you want to wear your stitching as a little pin. Perfect for a tree ornament... though, most use these as the package tie, and then an ornament for the tree!

2004 Autumn Harvest Pin Kits The 2004 Autumn Harvest Pin kits are here!!! Small 2 x 2, colorful designs, each stitched with beads and glass Treasures on 14ct perforated paper, these small ornament-sized projects look great hanging on a spindly Halloween tree branch. Lots of bright oranges, golds, purples, greens and black... the complete kits are a really good bargain because of all the materials included. We seem to sell a lot of these during the summer months... to keep 'vacationing fingers' occupied!!!

Holiday Pin Series 13 Teddy USA is one of the six new Spring 2004 mini-kits from Mill Hill. Available as complete kits of the paper, beads, glass Treasures and great instructions, my other favorite is the Americana Bug... a caterpillar that looks like a firecracker-y flag! Cute to wear as a pin, something fun to attach to a plant poke, you could attach a magnet to the back and stick them to your refrigerator... or decorate a spring wreath. These are fun to stitch, and just glisten with color!

Snow Charmer Kits, Series II Joining the first collection of the cute beaded snowmen, are six new designs. Each one has a differently textured body, a cute hat, and either a brass charm or white metal snowflake charm. Stitched on 14ct perforated paper, they are complete kits, finish approx 2 x 3 and make great tree ornaments. Autumn Harvest Pins, Series X Jack O' Lantern Witch has quite a frightening face... I think she may need a 'procedure' soon! One of the six in the newest 2003 set of Mill Hill small 2 x 2-inch beaded seasonal kits, this little gal has even had a bad highlight job -- she's got green and purple hair! Silly and fun, each of the six designs in the set are stitched on 14ct Natural Brown perforated paper, and are loaded with rich fall colors of russets, golds, purples and moss greens. Lots of the new colors of Mill Hill beads introduced last fall are being used this year, along with frosted glass or crystal Treasures in each of these kits.
