Snow Kids and Ornament Stockings Sam Sarah has two new Christmas Stocking designs that are gigantically cute and full of personality! Very simple in design element, there are 4 in the set so far. They feature giant images of snowmen, ornament balls, Christmas candy, and reindeer noses! Offered in leaflet format, they are designed to be stitched on the new Weeks Dye Works hand-dyed 20ct linens. The linen itself, is very soft. Colors are to dye for, however, these look great on 18ct Natural, too, if you prefer a stiffer fabric to work with. Anyway, you'll notice that each stocking looks 'overdyed.' THAT is the result of Caron Collection's Watercolors hand-dyed perle cotton. You'll have to work your stocking designs on a contour to achieve that awesome movement from the color variations in your thread... but it's worth the effort!!! Garnish each stocking with the appropriate name -- in scrabble ABC buttons -- how cute is that? We offer the leaflets, and linen cuts. Clay embellishments include just the stars, flakes, bells, etc. Letter squares by special order. Check out the other two... we carry their linen and threads as well!
Sugarplum & Reindeer Stockings Samsarah has two fun, new Christmas stocking designs that you probably won't finish in time for the Big Day this year... but next Christmas is only 13 months away!!! Big, Bold and Simple designs, each finishes approx 11 x 15-1/2 on 18ct Natural Linen. All of the color you are seeing on these is achieved by the Caron Collection Watercolors overdyed #5 Perle cottons used! SUPER EASY solid stitching, the hand-dying in the threads does all the color-work!!! Offered as the leaflets, we have the threads bundled together for you... and the bells or peppermint buttons featured on each. If you want clay button letters for your names... please SPELL that name for us, so we can order the correct letters!
The Witch's Hat One of Sam Sarah's newest releases, this is SO CUTE! Stitched on 30ct Weeks Guacamole using Weeks hand-dyed cottons (DMC conversions included), the colors in this are rich and dusty at the same time. Bright Leaf, Deep Sea, Kohl, Peoria Purple, Seaweed and Scuppernong to name a few, there are also some special stitches scattered about for extra interest. Swirled Stem Stitches on the ghost, Satins and Smrynas in the hat, one of the stars has French Knots... but you could always do some matte finished beads instead. Real cute, offered as the leaflet with clay and linen separately.
The Witch's Broom This is OVER-THE-TOP cute and unique! New from Sam Sarah, it is a witch's broom stick stitched over 2 threads on 18 or 20ct linen, and embellished with miniature stitched ornaments. The model measures an incredible 4 inches wide by 48 inches tall!!! (Ours is shown here horizontally... because it'd stretch halfway down your page if we didn't!) It's perfect for any one of those skinny walls you have in your house between doorways or someplace like that. Basically, the broom is stitched in overdyeds, and then you stitch as many of the 13 -- 2 x 2-ish motifs, to embellish where ever you want to! The little ornaments are worked on various colors of Weeks linen -- Peoria Purple, Pumpkin and Guacamole -- and you can tell from the pic that they have done some of the same motifs on different colors of fabric. The pewter handing hardware at the top is Charland's Pewter Witch, designed by Pat Thode of Heartstrings, as well. This is SO neat and different... it is charming, imaginative, and enchanting! Offered as the leaflet, fabrics and clay embellishments are offered separately. (Check your thread and fabric stash for anything fun for the little ornaments! Three Carrots Here's a trio of plump carrots dressed up for the Spring! Fun geometric patterns inside the carrots, the button garnishes add quite the festive touch. What is interesting, however, is the finishing. NOTHING fancy, but how eye catching! Each linen piece is simply turned under, than tacked onto a piece of Weeks Dye Works wool -- and crooked at that! What a fun way to address these! You can make funky little doorknob hangers all over the place! Each carrot measures approx 40 x 69 stitches -- so fabric choice determines final size! Get creative and make 24... Karots!
Pearls of the Month Happy New Year and True Love are the first two tiny designs by Sam Sarah Studio, in their Pearls Line, for 2009. Little bitty designs offered in a small card format, these have always been really cute, basic designs that have lots of general appeal. Beginning in mid-December of 2008, we'll have the January Happy New Year and February True Love designs to ship... two designs per month. Each comes as the small card with a clay button embellishment. (Prices will change a little bit each month depending on the embellishment.) You can stitch them on whatever you want... they do call for Crescent Colours hand-dyed flosses -- but you probably have those or some other gorgeous ones in your stash already -- so do some digging! Cute, cute, our auto-ship contains the cards and embellishments... so you can be creative with the rest of the ingredients! Buy one, or buy them all!

Announcing the 2009 SamSarah Alphabet Baubles Beginning October of 2008, the letter A is celebrated with a cute set of apples! Stitched on 28ct Red/Natural Newport Linen, it finishes approx 4 x 4, and requires a bitty 9 x 9 special cut of the linen. November brings us B -- plump little bumblebees! Each month, you'll get the chart, clay pack and cut of linen. The auto will go on for 26 months... so, if you don't want all the letters... just let us know which ones you DO want! And... if you STILL don't know... just watch the website every month for the newest! Prices TBA, but I assume close to the 2008 pricing.

Jackie Oh & Frank N. Stein Sam Sarah has released 2 small cards, her Pearls line, that feature fun Halloween personalities! ONLY 28 x 28 stitches... you could do these over one on Lugana Evenweave, and they'd be only AN INCH in size! Actually, they'll finish smaller than the cover pictures! Then, make a cute fob or something like that! Stitched with Crescent Colours -- each design uses only 4 colors!
25 Days Till Christmas! Well... since we've received this pattern in February... you thankfully have MORE than 25 days to get it finished before next Christmas!!! An Advent Calendar with 25 miniature ornaments to hang up each day, this is so cute! The piece is stitched on Graziano 28ct Black & White Buffalo Check Linen, with each ornament on 28ct Cashel Country Grain Linen (although so very many other colors will look great, too, so check your stash!) Each 2 x 2 ornament is finished onto Weeks hand-dyed Gunmetal Herringbone Wool, a little hanger sewn in place, and then hung over the star buttons embellishing the main calendar banner. Only nine different colors of overdyed floss are used, but multiple skeins of each... so purchase ENOUGH threads ALL at one time! Complete finishing instructions as well as ornament placement tips are included, and you have the option of purchasing ALL the clay buttons for the banner and ornaments, or the buttons for the ornaments ONLY -- in case you want to simply hang them on the tree. (we do sell all of the buttons individually, as well, in case you know you'll stitch only a few of them!) Cheerful colors, such an eye-catching and bold presentation... this is something you'll treasure for years to come! I think I've chosen a favorite ornament, and then I see another...
Baubles This is a set of 12 monthly designs that are tiny 9-patch 'checkerboards' of cute repetitive motifs! Each is offered as a single page chart... nice big pic on the cover. Each piece is stitched over two threads on Zweigart 28ct Newport Natural Raw Cream... which features white threads already woven into the linen that create a set of little boxes! January's Bauble features 1-inch snowmen of all different colors of snow and scarves, each with a clay heart button. February's Bauble features valentines of luscious Mulberry, Chesapeake and Pecan... all decorated with coordinating clay roses! Really, really cute, each design finishes approx 6 x 6. We are doing our set as Mona's Stand-Up Cubes. Mona is going to do a special box finishing technique for these designs...the special part will be that you get to use one finishing kit for two months!
