Welcome to page 2 of our Scissors Heaven!
We have an entire display case full of the most wonderful Solingen Steel Cutlery from Germany, unusual novelty scissors from France, top quality embroidery scissors from Italy -- just a wonderful array! We're highlighting a few here, and will be adding more to treat you! (I kind of have this "scissor thing"...)
Featured on Page 1, some styles from: Gingher, Dovo, Wasa, and some French and Italian importers. (Many have no names, per se, and since the invoices are often in German or Italian, I have no idea just what they call them! We just know that we LOVE them! So we've given all of them our own "SN numbers," to keep them straight!!!) I'll try to give you some info about each!!!
Cute Little Scissors!
I don't know what else to call these little babies... they are just the cutest little scissors!!! Measuring a mere 3-inches in *total* length, they are made of titanium, and feature *soft-grip*, large finger hole handles of two-tone color. The blades are almost an inch long, they're pointy... but nothing to draw blood! They weigh *nothing*, and have a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer!!!!! The cutting action 'swooshes', they just feel real good! PERFECT for travel, because they are strong and sturdy, aren't heavy or bulky, and small enough to fit in that Quart-sized zip-lock baggie for airport security. And... they're pretty! Get some for everywhere, your cosmetic bag, the wrapping paper stash, the kitchen drawer, a cute and colorful scissor case or fun scissor fob that has no home... or the up-coming gift exchange! Teeny-weeny little wonders! (Santa e-mailed us this morning, and ordered a sleigh-full!)

 Petite Stainless Steel ScissorsKind of a Plain-Jane name for a dynamite little scissor... these are much more exciting than their name implies! A very sturdy, 2-5/8 inch scissor, these feature a brushed stainless finish with strong 3/4-inch blades. The tips are sharp, they have a nice, tight, crisp action... they are just great little scissors!!! Perfect for travel -- because of the short blades. (I always get a kick out of leaving things like this out with my cosmetics in the airport security line, because they usually ignore them as totally insignificant -- but I've GOT MY SCISSORS!!!) Very nice, especially for the price!!!

Serious 'Collector Danger' Ahead!!!
Presenting quite a set of 'Uncommon Scissors' to delight all your favorite empty fobs, scissor and sewing cases, and fun little needlework tool boxes!!! One can never have TOO MANY scissors... and different projects demand different scissor treatments!
So... here we have 11 new pairs of uncommon scissors that might be *just the thing* you're looking for! Cutting quality is good... not DOVO... but good. They each feel a little different when you flex them... I imagine that has to do with the handle and decoration designs.
All are quite unique, and deserve a special place inside your cases and tied to all your favorite scissor fobs! Choose between multiple colors and finishes of Seahorses, Squirrels, Cats, A Vine, and Witches!!! (Black are a flat black finish, brushed stainless look like pewter.)
The seahorses -- 3-1/2 inch -- would be fun for all the mermaid and nautical things you have.
Squirrels - 3-1/2 inch -- are a little challenging to see... not my favorite... but maybe yours!
The cats -- 3-3/4 inch -- are WONDERFUL! Pretty shape, pretty piercings... I really like these!
Vines are VERY different! 4-1/4 inch in length, very decorative, unusual finger holes.
And the witches... well... every Halloween something needs one of these!!! 4 inch, very heavy, the points of these are NOT sharp at all. (almost like they were trimmed to contain the witch!!!)
So... you have some deciding to do here... think of projects in your stash, and enjoy!!!
*** I personally recommend these for novelty and occasional use. Our DOVO #9's and 10's are THE BEST for an everyday, great, functional, and dreamy scissor to cut with -- dozens of times a stitching day!)
Petite Owl Scissors
For you *WISE* stitchers -- none of whom need to be *old* to appreciate these -- we present some cute little scissors to grace some *smart* needle case or sewing set in your stash!!! These are unusual -- the handles form an owl's *face!* They are VERY HEAVY in your hand... and they 'appear' short -- measuring a mere 3-1/4 inches in overall length.
The 3/4 inch blades are medium thickness and very sharp and strong at the cutting tip. They *feel like* a preemie, but are heavy -- I'd imagine 3 or 4 ounces in weight. Because the handles are so prominent, they actually feel pretty good... while delivering a 'smaller feel' to the scissor. SO cute in scissor and needlework cases... whether black or brushed stainless finish... I knooooooo you'll love these!
 Dolphins and Primrose ScissorsThe brand name kind of sums these up! We have two new scissor patterns in gold, silver and rainbow tone finish... one features dolphins on the handles, the other, a pressed rose pattern. These scissors measure 4-inches long, and actually have a shorter cutting blade than most. By Uncommon Scissors, quality is 'OK'... definitely not our top-of-the-line in feel or finish... the charm of these is the handle pattern and the rainbow finish on the dolphins. These are fun in a scissor display or unique scissor/sewing case.

These are pretty little 3 1/2" scissors! They have handles that have been dipped with translucent colors! All six colors shown are just so pretty... it's hard to decide on a favorite! The best part is their price... only $8.95 each! Medium quality, these are great for needle case stuffers, your traveling needlework bag, a first pair of scissors for a young stitcher... just anything! Several designers will be featuring these scissors in their new releases this next year, especially with scissor fobs... so remember, we have them available individually, if you need multiples!

Leather Scissor Sheaths
Thin, soft leather... the larger double sheaths hold two pair of scissors together! Measuring approx 4 inches long, they will hold scissors that are larger than the regular 3-1/2 embroidery size. Small, simple and functional!

 Floral Embroidery Scissors from Premax of ItalyOh, these are delightful little 3-1/2 embroidery scissors that feature colorful floral patterns enameled onto their handles! Stainless steel, they feel really good! Nice shape, sharp tips with a good taper, not too heavy and not flimsy feeling... they have a nice, smooth cutting action. Brought to us by the same company that did our 'space-ship-scissors' (the Premana Ring Locks), they will be lovely inside all your stitched scissor cases, and extra-pretty with a coordinating stitched fob! They feel like the Seasons to me!!! The purple ones are half-way between blue and purple, very 'Summer' with lots of color. The white ones feature little flowers of pinks, yellows, purples, blues... they're an overall medley of floral color... just like Spring! The cream pair has lots of gold, cinnamon, mossy greens... I get a late-summer/early-autumn feel from those... they have a little dusted mauve on them, too. Then, the red and white... definitely Winter! (But then, again, they could be summer!) A light red -- like the DMC 350 corals... NOT deep burgundy red... they're just a cheerful red and white! Sunflower Yellow is definitely a 'Summer!' Definitely new, unique, FUNCTIONAL, and pretty!

Oh wow... are these NICE! By Premana of Italy, we have a third style of *Space Ship Scissors!* Very sleek and smooth in design, this pair of 3-3/4 inch precision scissors features a smooth, curvy shape, a very comfortable 'hand' in YOUR hand, a 'ringlock' attachment system rather than a traditional screw, and thin, tapered blades that have a slight curve to them. That extra small angle really gives you the ergonomic advantage when you're trimming close threads. Your cutting hand isn't damaging any stitches already there... you can simply 'reach in' and cut anything needed, without disturbing any stitches already executed. Really smooooooth...

 Premana Ring Lock Scissors from Italy
WOW... these are the neatest looking and feeling little embroidery scissors... VERRRY smooth... very SLEEEK... A Substantial Weight... and A Perfect Balance in your hand! From Italy, we have two new sizes and styles of small scissors -- packaged in a space-age plastic and foam-padded snap-closing case -- one might think they came from outer space!!!
The smaller pair is 3-5/8 inches long... 7/8 in blades... very smooth... they look like a little bird of some sort. The longer pair -- 4-1/4 inches has a larger finger hole, and simply a longer handle shaft, with 1-1/2 inch blades.
How can a simple half-inch make so much difference in shape and feel? Both are exquisite... both are a brushed stainless finish -- so they look like pewter. You should NOT pass these by because of quality alone... but check out the prices, too!!! They just feel so good!

 Swan Scissors
See the tiny gold swan nestled on your scissor handles? This is a 3-inch pair of embroidery scissors -- unique because they are 1/2 an inch shorter
than the average embroidery scissor, and they feature that pretty swan decoration. OK quality -- not heirloom -- these are perfect as decoration inside a special needlecase, or tied to a stitched fob. (Easier on the budget to decorate seldom-used pieces with $10 scissors rather than $50 ones!!!) Quirky, unique little scissors!!!
Butterfly ScissorsHere's a pair of gold-handled 3-1/2 inch embroidery scissors that have a butterfly decoration on the handles. Petite finger holes, and thin blades, their design makes them perfect for scissor case decoration. Cutting quality is just OK... nothing comparable to our Dovo or Gingher styles... but OK. With so many scissor fob and case designs all needing scissors on or in them... these are a nice choice.

Autumn Luster Scissors from Bohin of France
Oh, these are a delicious new scissor I found at market! By Bohin, a French cutlery company, these are 3-1/2 inch stainless, and feature a softly curved handle shape. What makes them so pretty is the special finish... a marbling of translucent gold, black and cinnamon colors... all bonded onto the metal. Not dipped or air-brushed... this finish is ON THERE! So pretty, I've never seen anything like these! Very well balanced, nice and sharp, a smooth cutting action, these are just a really nice little pair of scissors!!! (Not to mention how good they'll look in scissor cases stitched with fall colors!) I'll keep my eyes out for more from this company -- I'd seen some that retailed for $90 a pair -- but I was chicken to order those!!! Try these first!

Scissors! from Kelmscott
Kelmscott brings a number of new and unique scissor styles to our industry! Little squatty things, lots of color, unique shapes... you'll enjoy this whole collection of fun scissors. Angel and Miniature Tudor Rose Scissors
from Kelmscott DesignsKelmscott has two new scissor styles that are CHARMING! The angel is quite heavy, and features very small finger holes. (Reminds me of the shape of her owl scissors.) Designed as a complementary piece for fun sewing and needlework cases... I actually think these would be stunning hanging on your Christmas tree as an ornament! Possibly attach them to some red wool or felt? Very shiny and pretty!!! The miniature Tudor Rose style is gold, and only 2-1/2 inches in size -- smaller than Kelmscott's regular silver-toned style. 1/2 Inch blades, these are just the prettiest little things... ones you probably HAVE to HAVE!!! (And *who says* a stitcher shouldn't decorate their tree with a few scissors and needlework threats!?)

Owls! Kelmscott has two new scissor patterns... two more options for all your empty fobs and cases!!! Her 3 3/4" Owl scissors are cute, and quite a different shape in your hand to cut with. The finger holes are small; they feel heavy in your hand, and the blades are a minute 1/2 an inch in length!!! The Little Gems Primitive pair (shown below) is the same style as all the other petite scissors in Kelmscott's line, but they feature a matte black finish over ALL the scissor, not just the handles. Only 2 inches in *total* length, they are cute little guys, and travel WELL!

Antique silver, 3-3/4 inches long, with thin blades and sharp tip. The floral design on the handles is just lovely!
Flower Pot Scissors
In keeping with her Spring Fever, Paula has also designed a pair of gold-toned scissors that have a flower pot and bloom on the handles! Quite a different shape to the scissor -- the handle part features 2 inches of length, while the blades are only 1/2 an inch long. Definitely more of a decorative rather than everyday functional scissor. 3-3/4 inch overall length.

Special because they are 2-1/2 inches instead of the more common 3-1/2 size... they fit into smaller needlecases perfectly!
