Enjoy some of the newest Shepherd's Bush Designs! Tina and Terri have such a flair, and their color palette is yummy! Samplers on Belfast Linen stitched with silks, to primitive quick designs on Klostern in Perle cottons ... always lots of Mill Hill Beads and Buttons, and plenty of clay and brass charms and doo-dads. We love all of these!

The JourneyShepherd's Bush has 5 new releases... The Journey tells us to; 'Take joy in the journey and the friends you find along the way.' Dedicated to all the friends who are with us for years and years... and others who leave along the way, this is stitched on 32ct hand dyed French Vanilla linen in 12 shades of hand dyed Gloriana, Thread Gatherer and Crescent silks. Luscious shades of roses, plums, olives and taupes, there is a trio of buttons and charms to embellish. Offered as the complete kit, this finishes approx 8 x 8. Full of Shepherd's Bush character -- the Shepherd and his little sheep, the round roses, the little basket of flowers, the funky lettering, that gorgeous color palette, and of course all the scattered motifs -- just charming!
|
FriendsThis is a sweet piece, dedicated to any special friend you have! Stitched on 28ct hand dyed linen in 6 shades of silks -- two hand dyeds -- it features just Smyrna and Cross Stitches in it's petite 3 x 5 finished size. There are three tiny charm embellishments included, along with a charted alphabet for personalization. Wouldn't it be fun to add initials of some special people along that vine? You could change the word 'Friend' to a name... you could add heirloom buttons here and there... just anything. VERY quick to stitch, it is offered as a complete kit, so it's even faster to grab and take along when you're in a rush! Real cute.

Our Hearts Pin Cushion & Safe Keeping Scissor FobI'm sure these two aren't a matching pair, but they just seem to go together anyway!!! Same designers, same linen, same silk, bead and beautiful hand dyed silk ribbon edging treatments... I don't know how you can choose one without the other! My Friends Hearts Cushion features
Shepherd's Bush's flower basket on one side, and little scattered hearts on the other. (There is room for some initials on there!) Stitching measures approx 2-1/2 inches square. Safe Keeping features a winding vine of those round roses on one side, and room for the verse or names on the other side. Both kits include the 32ct hand dyed linen, all the raspberry and olive silks, beads, charms, needles, and the elegant hand dyed silk ribbons for the edge
treatments. You'll LOVE that little fob if you fill it with plastic pellet filling... it adds weight, and makes it 'softer and lazier' in your hand!
|
Summer FliesAnother seasonal square, stitched on 28ct Newport Linen! Use those taupe lines that are already woven into the fabric (if you don't have that linen, you can actually stitch those lines yourself) as your guidelines to stitch the 9 one-inch squares. Little flowers and bugs of the summer season... lots of Weeks, Gentle Art and Crescent overdyed flosses from your stash
(just tiny bits of them all) in pretty summer colors... everything surrounds the handmade beehive button in the very center square. Cute as can be, this is offered as the single chart, with button and fabric offered separately.
|
Blue SnowmanHere's another colorful-linen snowman piece! Companioned with Red, Green and Purple Snowmen... this little guy promises that the cold winter winds full of snow DO blow! Stitched on the new Weeks Dye Works 30ct Blue Jeans hand-dyed linen... the silks included in the complete kit are yummy winter whites, cranberries, avocado and denims, and embellishments include some matte-finish mini-buttons. Now, actually, this is probably a GIRL snowman... because of the wreath of ivy and berries crowning her head! Finishes approx 5 x 6.
|
My LandPresenting Tina's new patriotic sampler for the 2010 season, My Land features a shepherd couple tending the sheep and American flag. The border is a lovely, free-flowing floral vine that hides the verse of the piece -- the words to the song My Country 'tis of Thee! You have to look very closely to see those phrases... and it makes all of this so charming! Offered as a complete kit, this is stitched on Weeks 30ct Parchment Linen in several shades of solid and hand-dyed silks -- lots of green, along with roses, dusky, and navy blues. Finished size is approx 6 x 13-1/2. In looking at this... I like the bottom half without the top... and the top without the bottom... which, I guess, means that I like the whole thing, too!
|
Liberty Pin Cushion and FobWell, this is a delightful, pair of smalls! Each is offered as an individual kit, stitched on 30ct Putty hand-dyed Weeks Linen, and using the same color palette of hand-dyed silks and flosses. The Liberty Pin Cushion features a few special stitches, some antiqued Mill Hill seed beads, an ivory-colored center button, Weeks hand-dyed Eggplant Herringbone wool felt for the back, and a truly lavish amount of 4mm hand-dyed silk ribbon to rouch (a ruffling treatment for finishing) around the cushion edges! It finishes approx 3 x 3. The matching scissor fob is a petite thing. Same linen colors, same thread offerings, its silk ribbon is the same color, just a bit narrower. A charming set... just get 'em both! Shown with Kelmscott's Black Putford Scissors -- available separately.
|
Lucky SheepOhhh... another of Tina and Terri's tiny sheep... all dressed up... and waiting to go somewhere special! Lucky Sheep is adorned with your personal luck in mind. (we have casinos in Oklahoma... wonder if I should take the model along with me to one of them!?) Just a small 4 x 4 thing... always cute, he is a companion to something like 12 other little sheep who are busy wishing you Happy Birthday and things like that! Lucky's other companions are all on our SB pages! All are complete kits of linen, flosses and really cute hand-made clay embellishments... made for each one of them!
|
Winter Snows and Spring BloomsTwo more 3 x 3 window-pane designs that are stitched on 28ct Newport Linen in shades of Crescent, Weeks, and Gentle Art overdyed flosses. Both are the same size as quite a few of SB's windowpane designs... and these two have new hand-made button embellishments as well. Always a face... did you notice that? We have a Santa, Snowman, Frankenstein... and now a Snowgirl (but a sheep -- and he's not a face!!! -- my observation is wrong -- so just ignore me!) Get the charts... and stitch away! Spring is on Antique White with soft blue stripes, and Winter is on Antique Tan with cream stripes. Both are offered as single charts with buttons available separately.
|
Let Your Light ShineAnother Quickie or Beginner design worked on light blue 10ct Tula, these are always fun, because they don't requite too much stitching, you can SEE them anywhere... and they are a charming *first presentation* to a new stitcher. Offered as the complete kit (which is a great deal!) you get the chart, flosses, fabric, and needle. We have a ton of these -- in all different seasons and occasions!

|
Santa's Coming! from Shepherd's BushHere's a quick ornament design by Shepherd's Bush that matches quite a few of their other designs these past few months. Stitched on 28ct Newport Linen (it already has those white background stripes woven right into the fabric)... this little thing finishes only 3 x 3. You can tell that the stitching is fast, and if you don't have the required overdyed Crescent Colours already in your stash, something else close in color might do nicely. It's embellished with a special clay Santa face button, made only for this design. Finish into a 8 x 8-ish pillow, like the pic, or smaller, into an ornament! Offered as the single chart with button separately.
|
Thankful HeartShepherd's Bush has a new nine-patch design... Thankful Heart is stitched on 28ct white Newport Linen, which already has those skinny lines of color woven into it. The Mayflower, a fat clay turkey button and season's harvests garnish four of the 1-inch blocks...lettering fills the rest. Just like several of SB's other small designs, this is offered as the single chart, with little turkey button. Finishing approx 4 x 4... calls for overdyeds from your stash.
|
Here We Go A Haunting Kit!Here We Go A Haunting is a bustling graveyard scene, complete with costumed shepherd and his adorned sheep! Bones everywhere, a few perky pumpkins and Jacks, the kitty on the fence, caretakers house (wish I was that skinny!) and a crooked tombstone clay button (included), the whole thing stitches a petite 5 x 6-ish on the included 32ct Country Mocha Belfast Linen. Shades of DMC and Weeks overdyeds -- also included -- are mosses, oranges, purples -- all the fun Halloween colors! Our Market order has run out... all future kits will still be the same price -- and come in the regular plastic bag! PS... the little Scaredy Sheep Scissor Fob is a tiny companion piece to this sampler!
|
Jeffrey's StockingHe's precious, and so is his stocking design! A shepherd tending his flock, the town of Bethlehem and grazing sheep trim the bottom. Finishes same size as all the rest... charm packet available... calls for DMC, Weeks and Crescent's hand-dyed #5 perle cottons. (We've packaged all of those together as an option... but you can order colors open-stock if you already have some.) Just a calming, great stocking design!!!
Note from Mary: We moved all of the other Shepherd's Bush Stockings down to the bottom of this page so they'd all be easy to locate. Pay a visit there, too!
|

heavenly light, Shepherds gazed with awed delight, Wisemen came with hearts alight, The Christ Child was born that night.' Finished size is approx 4 -1/2 x 23!!! WHO thinks one should be against a red, green or purple background??? Teri and Tina of Shepherd's Bush! Teri builds them outside in front of the shop, while sister Tina is inside working *hard.* (At least that's the official story they're sticking to...) A cute design, offered in kit format, your darling little snowman, complete with skinny legs, is stitched on Weeks 30ct Grape Ice linen in shades of luscious greens, soft berry, creams, and brown hand-dyed silks. |
My Valentine from Shepherd's BushA cute little design that matches Frankenstein (Halloween Grins)... this is stitched on a bit of 28ct Newport Linen in Crescent and Weeks overdyed
flosses. That fabric comes with the 'lines' already in it... so this is totally easy to stitch. We finished our Frankenstein into a rouched ribbon ornament at Camp Wannasew last Fall (pic on Shep Bush page)... so we might be beginning a whole set of seasonal designs just like this one. Offered as a single card chart, the center button is offered separately... this is a perfect opportunity to find something in your stash to grace that center. Cute and Quick!
|
Glad Tidings Sampler and Matching Glad Tidings FobThe 2008 Christmas Quaker-inspired sampler, Glad Tidings features a shepherdess angel charming her little sheep with the music from her flute. Peace on Earth and Noel dot the sky... all surrounded by a spindly little floral vine. Very pretty colors of rose, buttermilk and lavender hand-dyed silks, the model at Market was stunning! Tina and Teri made a miniature version of the larger sampler, and finished it into a tiny 2-inch scissor fob. Just the prettiest little thing... it features the same silks and fabric as the larger sampler... so think ORNAMENT... if a huge sampler is out of your reach!!! The ribbon included with the fob kit to dress the edges is a silk with metallic threads running through it! So Elegant! Both Glad Tidings and its little fob are stitched on 32ct Days Gone By hand-dyed linen -- so soft and old in feel -- in a medley of luscious hand-dyed silks!

Sail AwayThis is a lovely sampler designed by Tina Richards Herman -- the Tina of Shepherd's Bush's Tina & Teri sister-team! Stitched on 32ct hand-dyed French Vanilla linen in luscious shades of hand-dyed silks -- from Thread Gatherer, Gloriana and Crescent, the colors are dusky, and weather-worn, just like you'd imagine an old seaside town to look. Finishing approx 5 x 14, it has lots of specialty stitches hidden in it's rows and charming little scene down at the bottom. One stitch is called the Indecisive Stitch! Satins, Herringbones, Captured Smyrna, Intricate Rice Variations, Triple Crossed Scotch, are some of the rest. In reading Tina's dedication at the beginning of the instructions... I realize that you need to hear a bit of her words... Being a mountain girl at heart, she needed to soul search a little to do this piece. She talks about 'how many women throughout time have sent their dearest ones across its fickle waters (the sea) clinging to the hope that they might meet again. I thought about women sending husbands, fathers, and sons away in ships and about mothers sending beloved children off forever to live in new lands. I did not come from sea-faring folk, but the ocean changed the lives of my grandparents -- and thus myself.' She goes on to talk about her sons going off to school in different cities, and how involved and busy they become -- away from Mom at home. She finishes with this: 'And I don't think I am so very different from all the women, as I patiently wait for each little ship to sail calmly back to my harbor.'
|
Into The NightAnother fun Halloween design... Into the Night features a little sheep dressed for the holiday in a green floral cape! He's visiting a little graveyard that is actually full of happy pumpkins, striped and swirled squashes, a few bats, a lovely wrought iron fence, and another little sheep hiding behind a crooked tombstone! Offered as a kit, this is stitched on 32ct hand-dyed clay linen, and finishes approx 3 x 9-1/2. It's stitched in LUSCIOUS shades of Gloriana, Belle Soie and Thread Gatherer's hand-dyed silks. Pumpkin-y and mossy, the colors are just awesome! A few special stitches in here, too, Smyrnas, Herringbones, a few Cross variations... just bits here and there for a bit of texture and interest! REAL, real cute!
|
A QueenStitch your tiny 'Queen-Bee-Sheep'... complete with hand-made clay crown button! A small kit by Tina, this is a companion to all the other little sheep -- Thankful, Hunt, Wishful, Busy, Fa La La, Spooky, Oh Say... you get the idea! All are seasonal or holiday, and Queen Sheep is a Springtime Bumblebee addition to the set! Offered as a complete kit, she's stitched on 32ct hand-dyed Beehive linen, and stitched in seven different shades of silks. Her main stripes are worked in Burnished Gold Silk 'n Colors. The little crown she's wearing is colorful and delicate... quite the tiny hand-made creation! Darling, as all in this set are, she finishes approx 3 x 3, and has a real cute Jill Rensel Mat that can show her off!
|
Mermaid SamplerWow... this is a new look for Tina and Teri! Inspired by a sampler they designed for a personal shop appearance, they fell in love with all the mermaid statues they discovered on that trip to Norfolk, VA. Stitched on 32ct hand-dyed Meadow Mist Belfast Linen in 8 solid silks and Sea Heather Silk 'n Colors, it finishes approx 3 x 6. Your kit includes a shell charm and fish button, and I notice that they've changed the special stitch names to seaside ones! You get to do the Wave Stitch, and Kelp Stitch! Just fun and cute... (we have a darling sterling silver crab charm that Bent Creek used a few years ago that would be DYNAMITE on this... Charland has a lobster, too!) the colors are summery, soft and the clear, frothy blue of the sea!
|
Happy Pumpkin RollThe companion roll to Happy Pumpkin Scissor Fob, this is a fun little band
sampler that is simply finished into a rolled shape. Shepherd's Bush has
tons of Needle Rolls that they've designed in previous years... I think we
still have most of them available. (Pictured on our Shepherd's Bush #3 Page.) This particular one is stitched on 28ct hand-dyed Lime linen and uses DMC and Weeks flosses. A cute verse, lots of small motifs, these designs are awfully cute simply framed, if you're not a 'rolling-type' of person! A stand-up cube or easel is another great finishing option, too. Offered as a complete kit of the fabric, flosses and a star charm.
|
She TendsShepherd's Bush has released a charming pastoral quartet of shepherdess designs... all presented together in one leaflet. 'She Tends, Garden Fair, His Flock, Tender Care.' Each tiny 2-3/4 inch block features part of the verse... each is stitched in overdyeds and includes all the same pretty flowers, tiny sheep and graceful hills. Such pretty pinks, lavenders, moss greens and sunny buttermilks, you're treated to a lovely scene of the shepherd and shepherdess tending their flocks! Each block also features one of Tina and Terry's sterling charms -- a standing lamb, a leaping lamb, and the shepherd and garden girl. Stitch them individually, and then tuck each into the Jill Rensel hand cut and painted mat... it doesn't get any better than this! Offered as the leaflet, fabric (30ct hand-dyed) is offered separately, as well as the charms and overdyeds.
|
In A StableShepherd's Bush continues their 2000 Years Ago quartet of designs with this next set... published together, just like 2000 (and the new 'She Tends' Shepherdess pattern!). Originally published in the Just Cross Stitch Magazine's Annual Christmas Ornament Issues all of the past 8 years... if you can find your magazines, you might have the early versions of these charts. Now, they are together, and charted for overdyed flosses. Each little block is stitched on 32ct hand-dyed linen, and then mounted into the 4-opening hand-painted mat by Jill Rensel. 'In a stable, Bethlehem sleeps, Mary and Joseph, Their sweet baby kept.' The patterns are so endearing... the colors -- now hand-dyeds -- are exquisite... and the mat makes it a stunning collection! Offered as a leaflet, the mat, flosses and sterling charms (just like the other two collections) are available individually. Over the past 4-ish years, 2000 Years Ago has been a FAVORITE in the shop!!!
|

Scatter Sunshine & Scatter FreedomJoining Eggs and Hearts... here are two more designs to 'Scatter About' the house!!! Real quick projects... each is stitched on 18ct Linen using three strands of overdyed flosses. Offered in a single sheet chart, they're cheerful and simple. Lots of little clay button embellishments, they finish approx 3 x 10. Scatter Sunshine was the first offered in this series (as a freebie chart!) you may have the original in your stash somewhere. Teri decided it was time to 'recognize it' as part of the published line... she gave her first baby a new life... and here it is!!! This series looks pretty cool perched on a windowsill -- because of their long, low shape! Enjoy!
|
Bees
Here is a new small kit, featuring 10ct fabric, and a button embellishment. Stitched in DMC and overdyed flosses, which are all included in the kit, it finishes approx 3 x 4. You know... you could always stitch these over one on something smaller, and make darling little fobs and ornaments!
Classic Shepherd's Bush designs... the colors in these are great! PERFECT to grab and take along when you're in a hurry, because this larger count is so easy to work on if light is a problem... space in the car is at a premium... the wait at the practice or meet could be a couple of hours... anything!
|
Two New Kits to Stitch for Mom
My Mom's Garden is Tina's dedication to her mother, and indirectly, to her mom's garden. Light and airy, the photo shows it stitched on white, but the kit comes with wonderful 32ct Autumn Blush over-dyed linen. So you choose.
It finishes out at 4 x 6 inches. Also included are the silks you need, a little thread palette and a little bag of tiny buttons to finish off the design. We'll order the Jill Rensel Mat, so reserve one if you want it, and we'll ship it as soon as it arrives.
Dear Mother is stitched on 10ct Platinum Tula... it's a much quicker stitch if you're in a hurry to get something done by Mother's Day. The kit includes DMC and Weeks Overdyeds, their little palette for your threads and a little bee button to hover over your flowerbed. Finishing out at 4 x 3 inches, it would make a great last minute gift for any mom.

A set of four mini-kits has arrived... all created by Teri Richards of Shepherd's Bush. Each is designed as a classy alternative to drippy,
juvenile beginner's kits!!! These are cute, feature pretty colors, an
overdyed floss or two, and a clay button embellishment. Stitched on 10ct
Tula, they're easy to see, and finish into something nice, very
quickly.
They've included basic cross stitch instructions of the back cover of the card -- actual enlargements of cross stitches, and are really very well done! A young stitcher is going to like doing these, because they're cute... and presented just like the 'Real Thing!' Each finishes approx 3-1/2 x 4. Wouldn't that 'Home is Where You Are' be cute on her bedroom door???

Belle Soie, Silk 'n Colors, Gloriana and Au Ver a Soie... they are just lovely! finishes approx 5 x 6. He's perched on a hill of snow roses, and tucked between skinny pine trees and houses. There are 5 softly-dyed mini buttons included that garnish his belly -- they match his threads. I just LOVE his colors!!! Offered as the complete kit of linen, silks, chart and
buttons! Mat is offered separately!

Scatter Hearts and EggsShepherd's Bush has released two single charts... each scattering something fun!!! Stitched on 19ct linen over two threads, using Crescent Colours and Sampler Threads overdyed flosses, each is garnished with the 'scatters!' Eggs features eggs, flowers, a chick and bees on Lilac linen,
while Hearts scatters more hearts and is worked on Rue Green. Each
finishes approx 3 x 9 and would be pretty as basket bands, cube stand-ups
or pillows!

ComeA little angel-shepherd on her Christmas Journey... Tina's tiny design for
Christmas 2007 is stitched on 32ct Medieval Green in 9 shades of solid and
hand-dyed silks. A deep grape, and lots of softer mauves, moss and
buttermilk, the 3 x 4-ish design features a few easy stitches and a small
yellow star embellishment. Actually quite finish-able in time for
Christmas... the complete kit contains the chart, linen, silks, needle and
star. Three other designs have been released along with 'Come'... so check
'em out, too!

DashingAnother of Shepherd's Bush's Burlap Bag designs... we have six already in this set, so Dashing makes 7! Quite a different finishing idea, you actually do the stitching on the 6 x 10 burlap bag that packages the materials! Each would be cute simply stuffed and tied closed -- find some cool wired ribbon to add to the drawstring for some extra color! Anyway, offered as a complete kit, the stitching is easy. (You'll probably have to stitch it upside down, though, so you can get your hand in the bag!) The kit includes the bag, chart, flosses, needle and jingle bells. Dashing joins Lamb -- lavender bag, Joy -- green bag, Chill -- red bag, and Brew, RIP, and Eek -- the orange, purple and green Halloween bags! Cute on a wreath, too!

Witch's TreatA Trick or Treat Greeting that is full of personality... Shepherd's Bush
delivers this charming design in leaflet format. It's stitched on 30ct
Guacamole Weeks Hand-dyed linen, in lots of shades of Weeks, Crescent and
Gentle Art overdyed flosses. You get to embellish this with a whole bunch of cute clay buttons for a little extra punch! Finishing approx 3 x 13, it's a quick-stitch, and gives your eye lots to look at!

On The HauntIsn't this the cutest thing??? Shepherd's Bush has designed a piece that is entirely Backstitch!!! (Technically, this is really Blackwork... with a big twist!) Anyway, we have a design that they split into two panels! The big one is stitched on 20ct Sunflower Lugana, the two smaller halves are worked on 20ct Lime... very cool! Each half sports a metal 'Doug Button,' too. (A bit if SB history... Doug was/is a friend of Tina and Terri's ... lived up in the mountains... always did their handmade clay buttons for years... came down from the mountain with buttons when he needed money! Kind of lived up there in that *thin air*... If you have a VINTAGE Shepherd's Bush kit... you may have an original Doug Button. Well... reproducing Doug's buttons in metal became necessary years ago when Doug couldn't keep up with sales!) This leaflet highlights 2 of the 'old/new' Doug Buttons! Very fun to see... they are perfect for these designs! Offered as the single card chart, buttons and hand-dyed flosses available separately. Remember to purchase 2 Lime cuts if you're doing these individually.

Happy Haunting'Come away a 'haunting among the shadows deep making merry mischief then home to bed we'll creep!' A description of Trick or Treat nights of years ago...one of Tina's memoirs of those days dedicates this design. (I just remember not getting as much candy as everybody else... !) Our little trickster has her 'doggy-sheep' in tow... all decked out for an evening of merriment. She steps past the gardens and pumpkin patches, carefully avoiding that all-too-scary graveyard down at the bottom! An exquisite Shepherd's Bush design, this is stitched on R & R's 32ct Howling Moon Blend linen. A golden honey color, the silks included in the kit are Gloriana and Thread Gatherer -- luscious colors of Autumn Grass, Tuscan Olive, Aged Plum, Rusty Amber and English Ironstone -- to name a few -- they are rich in color, so the finished piece POPS! A few special stitches, a darling set of miniature JABCO clay buttons in here -- a gravestone, bone, swirly gourd, buzzard and even a late blooming flower -- the whole thing finishes approx 5-1/2 x 14.

Family SamplerShepherd's Bush is stepping outside their design circle by bringing us a Spot Motif Sampler designed to celebrate your family! I know that Tina loves Barb and Alma's design style from Blackbird Designs -- and this reminds me of that. She laughed when she told me at Market last summer that it's OK for designers to love other designer's stuff, and she was just compelled to do a Shepherd's Bush Original! I love it! Stitched on 32ct French Vanilla hand-dyed linen, this finishes approx 6 x 12. It is worked in SB's trademark palette of soft mauves, lavenders, moss greens and vanillas -- all hand-dyed silks from Crescent, Gloriana and Thread Gatherer. The charm package reminds me of the SB samplers from years ago -- it features exquisite mother-of-pearl buttons and little brass charms. 'These be my Blessings' is the featured verse. The idea with this piece, is to personalize, dedicate and celebrate your family. Tina gives insight into alphabet choices and dates you might want to incorporate... this is one of those pieces that you could stuff full of children's birth dates, weddings, anything you want! Lovely. ***Make sure you see Pumpkin Hill and Happy Pumpkin Scissor Fob Kits... two more charming Halloween designs just released!!!***

Pumpkin Hill 'Spooky sounds send a chill Autumn night on Pumpkin Hill...' Oh Gosh, this is precious!! Stitched on 32ct Autumn Fields hand-dyed linen in 11 different hand-dyed shades of silks, your tiny 3-1/2 x 8 sampler is full of SB's personality! A few special stitches, nothing hard, the tiny motifs and wonderful color are just so much fun to stitch and hang on the wall! The Jill Rensel mats are really a treat for your finished piece... treat yourself to one! Kit includes the chart, linen, threads,
embellishments and needle.

2006 Be-Attitude Series It's here! Tina and Terry of Shepherd's Bush have announced their 2006 set of 'Be-Attitude' designs that we at The Silver Needle, are going to offer on our auto-ship program. Planned at the moment are 12 'advice' designs -- each is offered as the chart, stitched on 10ct fabric, (the first is on 10ct Navy Heatherfield) and features a package of Just Another Button Company clay buttons.
SB is also offering the fabric-pack of calicos used to construct their pillows as shown on the chart pic. They've told us there aren't too many fabric-packs available, and will NOT be available for very long after each release. Very cute, very low-key on the stitching end of things, so they're finishable... the first 'Be Warm' is really cute, and will ship as soon as we have all the component parts in the shop!

Brett's StockingThe 15th-ish Annual Stocking is Here!! Named for Tina and Teri's brother, Brett, this year's theme is a traveler -- one of the Three Kings! Notice the sailing ship coming to the town of Bethlehem... As always, this is stitched on 18ct Natural Linen in regular DMC #5 Perle Cottons, with quite a collection of both Weeks and Crescent Colours overdyed perles as well! Shepherd's Bush always does a neat embellishment pack of charms... and this year's is no different! Lots of fun things to tuck everywhere! Brett is offered as the leaflet, with charms, perle cottons and linen available individually.
Don't forget to visit the very bottom of this page to see all of the rest of the stockings!
P.S... A Shop Story:
Years and years ago... when we'd decided to get our shop models stitched... (we blame this on Deanna!) She had a 'brilliant idea' to change the name stitched on the stocking to people more dear to us than the names provided on the chart. Why stitch 'Peter' when we could stitch my mom -- Pauline? Well... we did three models that year... and STILL laugh at ourselves, because everyone still asks for the Pauline Stocking, or the Natalie Stocking... and we STILL have to look up the correct names, and provide an explanation to all new employees!!! 15 Years of Silly Confusion!!!

Anna's StockingFor the 16th year in a row, Tina and Teri from Shepherd's Bush have designed one of their darling Christmas Stockings -- dedicated to members of their family. This year, Great-Niece, Anna -- the 'cover-girl' shows off HER stocking! Angels galore, this design uses lots of rich Tuscan colors of gold, deep raspberry, and moss greens, and features some Crescent Colours as well as Weeks Dye Works hand-dyed perle cottons (and some regular DMC, too.) Stitched on 18ct Natural Linen, it finishes a nice 12-1/2 x 19 -- lots of room for Santa's Goodies!!! The embellishments include lots of little brass charms, beads, buttons and whatnots. VERY cute this year, lots of pretty color, and Shepherd's Bush Personality! Offered as the leaflet, with embellishments and perle separately. View lots more stockings at the bottom of this page.

 Jillian's Stocking
Shepherds Bush's 2006 Annual Christmas Stocking is here! Named after yet another special member of their family, little Jillian is perched beside the stocking that's as big as she is! Offered as a leaflet, this year's design depicts a shepherdess angel... complete with staff and sheep. In the foot area of the stocking, you'll see a miniature Bethlehem with the Star in the sky, and her flock of shepherd companions combing the hills with her. As always, the charm embellishments -- sterling, Mother-of-Pearl, beads, asst brass charms -- are unique and plentiful... scattered everywhere around the design. Stitched on 18ct Natural Linen in #5 Perle Cottons, it finishes the same size as all the previous stockings... approx 10 x 17. This year, you are being treated to several #5 Overdyed Perles from Weeks Dye Works (her dress is Concord -- the star is Schneckley), and Crescent Colours (her sheep is Bamboo -- and several of the flowers are Second Hand Rose and Bing Cherry!) The rest of the piece is worked in all the pretty soft colors SB has always used in this series. Darling, and full of rich color this year! Check out the rest of the series at the bottom of this page.
