Seasonal Garlands Everyone loves these charming little birds of Valerie Pfeiffer's, their tiny backstitch details make their feathers come alive!!! You'll recognize single birds taken from her other designs that are surrounded by a wreath of seasonal florals. Offered in chart format, each design finishes approx 8 x 8 on 28ct. The charting on these is a bit different than our US designers use... these patterns feature some half and quarter stitches. Instead of a tiny 1/4 stitch... you work the whole X, but over one thread. Consequently, you'll need to choose an 'over two' fabric... not Aida for these. So cute! | ||||||
 Christmas ChickWe've had this little guy for some time... and I was going to put him up on the website early this summer... but the timing didn't seem right... 105 degrees outside! Anyway, I kind of forgot about him, till we were doing our 'pre-sale cleaning!' He's one of Valerie Pfeiffer's darling little birds... singing Christmas Songs!!! Offered as a chart, he finishes approx 3 x 3 on 28 or 32ct, and is stitched in DMC flosses. I think he's precious... and I didn't want another year to go by without giving him his little place of honor on our website! | ||||||

| Chick-Chats Bluebell Chick-Chat is one of the four newest VP bird duets! Absolutely DARLING... this set of four couples perched on their favorite branches, is colorful and charming! Offered as charts, each finishes only 4 x 4 on 28ct -- so they are VERY 'do-able!' (not full of displaced or half stitches, either!) Delightful little birds with 'fluffy' feathers, their facial expressions make them seem human. In Fuchsia Chick-Chat -- doesn't Lefty look like he's singing at the top of his lungs... and his partner, Righty, is really mad about all of it??? Then, look at Rose Chick-Chat... One of this set of four small bird designs, finishing approx 5 x 5" these have incredible detail because of the fractional and straddled cross stitches that are involved. Nothing hard... just cross stitches that don't always fill the entire square, or backstitches that cross over at strange angles. The slight variations really add to the softness of these, and gives them such charm!
